  • I can't wait to hear Alex Day's version of this!

  • It was so awesome to be able to hear this one done live! My fav P& G song

  • 123 likes! wow no Beibers out tonite lol. I remember this song in New Zealand back in early 70s

  • I heard this song at Bonanza the other day and I wanted to execute myself.

  • Sweet album cover. Can I leave the room now?

  • Wow, no dislikes...

    that's an achievement

  • In 1979 you could hear this on Simon Bates Golden Hour for 1966. Later on, by the 90s they didnt do the 60s hardly. Well, maybe they did, but I remeber in the late 70s they used to do 1958, 59 , 60, 61 etc quite a lot. Guess it was not that long before at that time

  • EVERLY BROTHERS WAS THE TOP DUO OF THE 60S ---THEY WERE TOP BY HALL AND OATES AS THE BEST SELLING DUO OF ALL TIME

  • I had long blonde hair and was in early teen years; this was the MOST embarassing song!! And I cut my hair VERY short over this silly song! It seemed SO important back then! Happy 60s to all. War is bad for flowers, children and other living things.

    Peace, Sunny

  • I miss the songs that tell a story!

  • #283

  • That models' a grandma now-weird!

  • @75banjoman Possibley a GREAT-grandmother!! Say, for example, a child in 1967 and a grandchild in 1988?

  • MAGNIFICENT BORN TOO LATE

  • I never understood this song. Now that I'm older, I understand what they meant much better!!!!!

  • @meloyellowduck I wonder what you mean when you say you understand what they mean. Lady Godiva is said to have rode naked through the streets of Coventry, England in the 11th century, to convince her husband to drop a heavy tax on the people of Coventry.

  • AHH ! The good old days. Thanks

  • Best duo in the 60s

  • @MrVampiredog ya know i used to prefer chad and jeremy-but now im hooked on this song and knight in rusty armor.lol!

  • Love this song. I used to play my sisters 45 over & over & let my mind wonder (a 7 year old boy). I haven't heard this song since the 70's!!!!

  • Love It

  • Music is so evocative I have always loved this song thank you for posting !

  • @moviefan1955 try saying "evocative" really fast five times when you're drunk on vodka, which rhymes with "evocative".

  • i remember ths song, when i was a little girl,i use 2 turn the radio up as high as it would go ever time they would play this.
