"derren browN tHe eXperiments" Thought why "NHX" are uppercased. Derren Brown is advertising subliminally for NHS National Health Service. 'X' sounds like 'S'. 5965 new vacancies are announced and Derren is making people join NHS.
haven't started watching this yet, but i'm curious.. pretty much because i've had my car stole nand bike stole n inthe last two motnhs.. amongst many other things... fml.
i love how derren is being more open about the ways he achieves his magic. it's real cool. very appropriate too because it all gets revealed on the net anyway. no more hiding :)
That first trick probably involves hypnotism. I love how Derren comes up with an explanation which sounds true but really it's just to distract you from the real explanation. Just hearing a song a few times during the day is never going to guarantee that you'll think of it when asked. Everything Derren does is always guaranteed to work.
@TanksPokemon I wouldn't say it was a high chance. If I ask you to think of a song, you'd probably go through 3 or 4 songs in your head before choosing one and it may be a song that you've not thought about in ages - our memory can be very random.
An experienced magician will tell you that a large amount of Derren's tricks involve giving the audience a false but believable explanation. The most blatant demonstration of this was the lottery trick but the public didn't fall for that one.
@notnek011 Here's the thing, I don't think that our memory is all that random. I believe that we rely on recent experiences to make decisions, A good demonstration of this would be the rock, paper, scissors tricks but obviously there are much more songs to pick from. I, however, will agree with you that not all his explanations are true as stated himself in his book.

@notnek011 It's not guaranteed to work, but there is a very high chance that it will. I don't think that hypnotism was used in the trick.
