  • Andy Stewart's great song, found this after "United Breaks Guitars"- like the upbeat tempo, Son's of Maxwell do a great job. Like the chord changes in this song, the progressive chord changes are lovely

Go listen to the artistry of Silly Wizard as well, the originators of the song. What a great band, my kids were raised on it: even though we are States bound Scots

  • This is an Awsome Song !

  • Awsome song !

  • This is great! Really enjoyed it - well done and thank you

  • Oh my lads my needs must leave you,

My intention's not to grieve you

Nor indeed would I decieve you,

For I'll see you in a while

I must find some way to gain her,

To court her and to tame her

For fear my heart's in danger

From the Queen of all Argyle

  • On the morning that I mention,

    I passed with light intention

Down through part of our dear country

Known for beauty and for style

In a place of noble thinkers,

    Of scholars and great drinkers

But through all their lovely splendour

Shone the Queen of all Argyle

  • And if you could have seen her there, Boys if youd just been there The swan was in her movement, And the marble in her smile. All the roses in the garden, would bow and ask for pardon For not one could match the beauty Of the queen of all Argyle.

  • Quenn of Argyle

Gentle men it is my duty

To inform you of one beauty

Though I'll ask of you the favor,

Not to see her for a while

Though my love she is a creature

    Of character and feature

No words can paint the picture

Of the Queen of all Argyll.

  • Love the kilts!

  • Very Celtic. Love it!

  • Wow, this is quite a bit different. The Irish accent kinda threw me bit--but I like it!!

  • Very Nice! Who is the lead singer in this one? It sounds a little like he could be from the other side of the pond, eh?

  • I'm a new fan, purchased by the Taylor's blood. This rendition of 'Argyll' is, by far, the best I've ever heard! Vocals are clear and resonant. The accompaniment is just breathtaking -- lively, yet alluring. (The boys look pretty cute in their kilts, too . . .*smile*)

  • When i saw the song-title, I thought it was going to be about that really hot waitress at the Economy Shoe Shop (on Argyle St). Great song and video though!

  • This song is so great... :)

  • where can i buy this

  • I enjoyed your singing. It looks like an Ovation guitar being used in this one. Did the Taylor come later?

  • Great rendition of a Celtic folk song.

  • I love the video to the classic song, and that the Queen was the fiddle player. Excellent work!

  • A good, updated version--and I did the kilts! :)

  • What's in her smile? Marbles?

I can't fathom why you guys would change the lyric from 'the morning in her smile', which is a much lovlier image!
