I have everything you have, but a few of my discs are scratched, and one is cracked. One voyager disc is doubled. I also have the newest movie. Do you?
@TheRickt80 I can assure you that I'm far from being rich, In fact I live in the most poverty stricken region in Canada and take great offence to that comment. This collection was a hobby of mine for years. I say "was" because I DON'T have the money for it anymore.
@TheRickt80 AT LEAST HE IS WORKING FOR HIS! UR NOT RICH CAUSE U SIT ON WELFARE AND DRINK AND DRUG TOO MUCH! UR JUST A LAZY FUCKER! STOP BEING JEALOUS OF THIS HARD WORKING MAN! U GET A FUCKING JOB BITCH!
@dannys2222 who said i was jelous i was a trek fan not anymore and i never do drugs and why did u write that get a job stuff u know how hard it is to find work these days? i'm not rich beacuse i am not a singer actor writer or any of that.i'm not mad i thought the comment was silly.i have no jelousy 4 him i have a life as do u why waste time writing this stupid crap anyway? have a great 2012.
I have TOS, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise and all 11 movies. I've got uptil 4 seasons of TNG and I left that for last as I've watched that show atleast 3 times on reruns and most of it is fairly familiar to me. At some point I should try to get the Animated series.
Awesome collection. I'm slowly collecting all of the Trek DVDs as well. They're pretty expensive so I only buy one set every month or so. I have the four Enterprise seasons so far.
Ok, if any of the star trek series lagged on and got borring, it was ds9. Like you said about Voyager some of the episodes were good and a few cliff hangers. Voyager had action and was exiting. I admit the writing wasnt the best, but DS9 turned into a soap opra.
Great collection, but did you not have any on LaserDisc ? I thought the laserdisc format was popular in north america ?!? How many episodes do you tend to watch per day? I have 1000's of lasrediscs/ vhs/ dvd's but limit myself to watching 2 sci-fi episodes per day.
your pricing on the HD DVD season 1 star trek set was a bit off, it had a msrp of 199.99 and could easily be had the first week at best buy or amazon for about 120.00
do yourself a favor and pick up the new bluray set.
I would never entertain the early release prices...they wanted £85 per set for TNG so no way was I going to get ripped off (thank god for torrent sites!), but now the slimline releases are a fair price, I've just bought seasons 1-7 of TNG for £12.98 per season from Amazon UK - and they contain the same extras, the only difference is the packaging...which is a bonus as I have limited space for storing them. Next I will upgrade my home burned DVD's of TOS and DS9 with the cheaper slimline sets.
Most impressive indeed! I haven't actually collected much in the way of ST vids over the years (although I've watched quite a lot of it on TV). The only ones I ever bought, aside from the movies, were about 1/3 of the original VHS releases of TOS, then later about half of TOS on Laserdisc. I know there's still a TON I've never seen. Only saw a few of DS9, Voyager and Enterprise. I'd love to get all the sets and watch the entire saga!
Can't wait to see the Doctor Who's! That was probably the BIG sci-fi series for me growing up. Looks like you've got q huge chunk of 'em! I really need to get caught up on the DVDs. The classic series releases are stunning, I haven't bought the new series sets yet due to (once again) ridiculous pricing... Seen 'em all so far though.
And yes, you got the name right. :) Thanks for the video response!
@bowlestrek nice collection i got voyager and enterprise voyager was best season more borg action and also stargate is really good it was awesome i got every season on dvd of sg-1, atlantis and universe stargate has to be one of the best sci-fi shows out
I have the entire Stargate franchise on DVD, the original film, all of SG-1, The Ark of Truth, Continuum, and Season 1 to 4 of Atlantis. Now I need Season 5 of Atlantis and their first film. I'm looking forward to see what they do with Universe, the third series. Oh I don't care about Infinity (the cartoon series) since it isn't really canon. Of course I do have all Star Trek on DVD too including all Star Wars except I don't have the Clone Wars yet.
Do you need to watch the Stargate film first before you watch SG-1? I'm trying to broaden my taste in sci-fi television (I'm currently watching Blake's 7). Strange how I ended up becoming a sci-fi fan--that was the last I ever imagined becoming when I was a young girl!
If you want to follow the timeline yes. Well the pilot episode of SG-1 is connected to the original movie. However the original movie and SG-1 both have different casts though. In my opinion SG-1's cast is much better.
Oh I finally gotten Season 5 of Atlantis and I'm liking Stargate Universe so far. It sort of reminds me between of Star Trek Voyager and Battlestar Galactica (re-imagined version)!
Honestly I think you should watch the movie to understand the backstory of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, the villain Ra, the Goa'uld (alien race), etc. The movie is pretty good even if the cast on SG-1 is better before you watch the first episode of SG-1.
Oh I will give you one warning though. The first episode of SG-1 has full nudity in it in few scenes. Well the early seasons of SG-1 were on Showtime before it was moved to Sci-Fi.
Well when I first bought the DVD and watch it I didn't know there is gonna be full nudity in it. Lol. I think the TV version they edited that part out though.
precious dog!!! :)

I was quoting the Canadian price which was absurd. The entertainment industry has a habit of ripping us off up here.

@harrietamidala1691 Stargate rocks!! You should watch the film before you start. It gives you a lot of background info, but the actors are different.
