This is bull. At :42 she is still smiling while on the ground which means she is still thinking and her brain is sending signals to those muscles. From what I have read you have to interrupt the pattern to reset the brain and induce hypnosis. How could her brain be reset and she be smiling afterward if the hypnotist never told her too. @TheSuperwha What? Smiling is one of the most common bodily reactions when under hypnosis. Laughing, crying, and sighing all apply as well. Not from what I have read, but from what I've seen professionally for over 7 years. (it's in Idiots Guide to Hypnosis, too, and in pretty much every other hypnosis book.) Hypnosis creates a "hyper-conscious" state, and the body will react the way it wants, particular to that individual. Yes the pattern is interrupted, and the subconscious is awake.

I admit to being sceptical before receiving the DVD, but it worked for me right away, and the effect it has on participants, bystanders and you yourself simply can not be overstated.

Hypnosis is now medically verifiable. If you want to understand how it works I would recommend a book boy Jonothan Chase deeper and deeper. He is Britians top hypnotist he's been going for 30 years this so called zap is just the famous, I believe, Elman arm pull induction. You need to be trained properly before ever attempting this about the human brain.

Jay Noblezada came to Albuquerque over the weekend. He is doing a lecture tomorrow at the magic shop in town. He Zapped me i guess that's what you would call it.

He jerked my arm, but its nothing horrible. It was weird, the moment he did it to me i felt like i was in a daze, the next thing i know im on the floor. It was quit relaxing.

I just returned yesterday with my son, Gordon, from San Francisco. We trained Andrew of MagicbyAndrew how to Zap. We filmed it at the San Francisco Pier 39.

I think it is dangerous just looking at that. It could also be just a set up to get people to buy the DVD. It could turn out to be absolute rubbish. The danger for me is the way he tugs on the hand. He could dislocate the elbow or tweak the ligaments in the wrist or elbow. Also in falling to the ground they could hurt themselves. Very dodgy and I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

As far as I can tell, the effect is purely psychological with no physical harm done. As far as I can tell, it's solely the get brains kinda 'panic', as in that something surprising happened, gotta do something(Also, to get them down). After the reaction like that, purpose is that both thanks to good grip on his arm and the reassuring words given beforehand by hypnotician, brains react by kinda giving the control away.

And then the effect is prolonged by some reassuring words like 'sleep' etc.

I find this a bit too harsh, you can actually pull an arm out of the socket. This is not a soft tug. You truly yank them down. It doesn't take an expert to do this. Everybody can do this given a total disregard of health and safety of your subjects.

do that. Look up "worlds fastest hypnotist" and you won't find anything as fast as Zap. It takes Hon a total of 30 seconds, including any "pre-talk" conditioning, and a 1 second induction. I guess there can only be one.

Jay, actually, there can be more than one and there are . . . that's why I tell people that I'm a speed hypnosis expert but I'm the "world's most handsome hypnotist" (they're hypnotized so they believe me). :-) There are a LOT of one second inductions. John Cerbone has a clocked induction at a fraction of a second. I have personally met five "World's Fastest Hypnotist" of which most are my friends and a few were my students. It's not the speed, but the quality of the context and utility.

Simply look up instant hypnosis or arm pull hypnosis induction (zap is an arm pull variant) and you should find plenty that is the same speed or faster - not to say that fastest really means anything when talking about speed hypnosis. When dealing with speed hypnosis, it is not the induction itself that is important but what you do with it and the skill of the session work. Not saying zap isn't worthwhile.

Come on, how many "worlds fastest" can there be? He does a fast induction, but just do a quick search on "worlds fastest hypnotist" and more than one name pops up. Only one can be the fastest (not that it matters).

This is not different than the other arm pull inductions as far as I am concerned. The only difference I see is that it is much much more violent than it needs to be and it can hurt people.
