lovely jags, but fish/cichlids dont get pregnant? females are gravid, they carry unfertilized eggs, which are fertilized by the male after the female deposits them on a rock or whatever, the only fish that truely become 'pregnant' are the livebearers like guppies, mollys etc,,, there now u know lol,, nice pair though,, good keeping
gday i have just brought a pair of jags and before i brought them they had fry but now all he does is attack her and tall whip each other like yours was doing any ideas ive seperated them should i just let them go get back to me asap cheers
I also have a pair housed in a 150g to them selfs and they spawn every month or so, the male and female used to be very aggressive but recently just my female is the only aggressive one and the male dashes away and tries to hide when I come up to the tank. Have you ever had this problem? The male is around 6" and the female is around 5" and are fed night crawlers, beef heart, raw shrimp, crickets and occasional peas. I forgot to mention even while they have fry or eggs the male stil
