What you guys don't realize is that Lucero is right where they want to be. In control of their music, playing venues that are personal, and touring with who they want to tour with. These guys are always on the road, whether in your town or not, but they work their ass off to keep themselves small for their fans. Just because you bitch about never hearing them, go out and buy yourself an independent music magazine and see what else is available. Quit bitching about the radio!!!
I've seen these guys 5 times I think and was lucky enough to hang out with them for a little bit the last time I saw them. I asked Ben if he'd care to smoke a cigarette with me after the show and all the guys joined.
These guys are the most down to earth, real people you'll ever meet. Very cool.

Radio sucks, and it has, unfortunately, for about 30 years. When I got to college, it was like, fuck, I've had to listen to shit all my life, when I could have been listening to stuff like this?
@DisposableHero187 Man i don't know about you but im glad these guys aren't ultra popular. It seems like as soon as any band i realy like becomes popular they lose what makes them great: the soul and the balls.
@DisposableHero187 i met a dj at a bar in my town and asked him the same about lucero and drive by truckers. he told me because he hadn't heard of them before... so... i gave him a cd i had made that only had lucero and dbt on it... he liked it so well that he now plays my cd on the radio :D alot of local people are starting to get to know them now. xD
@DisposableHero187 Please do not let them be on the radio...it would take away everything special about this band, but i do understand your way of thinking!
