  • what kind of guitar are you using?

  • Got Mine Today!

  • Sweet demo as usual!

For a cheap alternative I'd recommend the Fuzz Facelift by Big Knob Pedals, made with Germanium resistors, they get a sweet tone.

    Peace

  • a really good replica thats alot cheaper is the fz-5 by boss, the fuzz face setting is pretty exact to this sound i highly recomend it but if you have the money just get the hendrix fuzz face

  • u could just say 5, 3, 9 instead of whatever o clock

  • I love this pedal. I have one and it's my favourite even fuzz pedal!

  • those guitar pics actually suck, they break like no other beeastmaster

  • @peopleonmute i use them all the time. none of them has broken yet and ive been using them for over a year

  • like the pics on the background. nice! is that sound the fuzzface coming through a clean channel on the amp or is the amp already distorted/overdriven?

  • Hey! i have just ordered one from your eBay store, so excited :) please ship it FAST!!!

  • i like the old ones better

  • does anyone know how to mod this so that it can be powered by an adapter?

  • @chcknhntngottaloveit usually power blocks come with an adapter to connect up to a 9V power lead.

  • By an adapter that has a 9volt battery adapter and connect it straight to the batter input. then seal it back up.

  • My favorite use of fuzz pedals watch?v=Z-SB-kJ-Hx0&feature=related

  • hambucker?

  • how would this sound paired with a tube screamer?

  • @aaronbrakefield probably bad

  • @aektzis91 well i went ahead and bought it anyway and ran the two together. It actually sounds pretty good. like in the video, if you roll back the volume while running both, you get a pretty decent tube screamer sound with a bit of fuzz. turn the volume all the way up and it screams pretty well. if you chord or play low it sounds pretty muddy, but all and all i liked the way it turned out. i posted a video of me playing (little wing on my channel) using the two in tandem. check it out.

  • @aaronbrakefield out of curiosity, did you run the TS before or after?

  • @aektzis91 i've only ran it before so far. gonna switch em around sometime and try that i guess! haha

  • @aaronbrakefield probably not good since the TubeScreamer has a very compressed sound.. therefore you'll loose all the dynamic of the fuzz

  • db dffccbv cbc cb

  • Dunlop is very cool! The guitar playing in this vid really does it justice. This pedal does a great job for getting those old time Hendrix tones for those Hendrix cats out there. I pair mine with a good octavia octave up pedal. Tried the Roger Mayer octavia but was disappointed. The 'Fillmore Thunder' by Elite Tone isawesome the octave notes ring out clear undistorted.

  • 台湾电意大击毙全少年被砍惨烈遭偷窺 監控误巨蟒和普通蛇不同不会

  • Is it true bypass?

  • yes, according to a reasonably ligit looking schematic i found on the internet (i'm thinking of building one)

  • roger mayer fuzz man

  • this or big muff pi

  • THIS THIS THIS THIS!

  • BOTH!

  • holy balls.

im a drummer and i hereby command my guitarist to purchase this fine piece of machinery.

  • @OodleZOfNooDles LOL same here

  • lmao im gonna buy this one for sure with christmas money

  • yes! this is the music

  • fuck you dunlop.....dallas arbiter for life

  • Any one have the Coily Fuzz...from Freekish Blues...sounds good on clip but would like opinion from someone who played out one?

  • this or octavio?

  • totally different sounds.

octavia- produce a killer upper octave and some good but not great fuzz

this- produces sick nasty awesome fuzz and can get you some wicked feedback

    (I recommend this)

  • how would you rate this against the monsterpiece npn fuzz?

  • I have those picks!

  • I haven't heard of Fuzz Face with silicon transistors, it should be called axis fuzz.

  • haha i think its supposed to look like that. hence the name fuzz FACE.

  • lol mgood point.

  • Lol I know random but kinda looks like a smiley face lol

  • Comment removed

  • i recon thats were the got the name from also this fx pedal looks fucking strange

  • None of these demos mean crap without a list of what other gear is being played through. What guitar, what amp, what pickups? I mean, the final tone has as much to do with that as it does just the fuzz face alone.

  • well said

  • Its like a 150 bucks

  • it sounds like purpe haze and red house put together

  • Umm hendrix didn't use a fuzz pedal at isle of wight he just used the overdrive on his amp and a wah that's about it.

  • you're an idiot, he used a fuzz you can see it in the footage you clown... buy the dvd then come talk your shit.

  • .....you're dumb.

  • fuck u noah1i8 if u dont believe me go look up his equipment at isle of wight he only used the distorion on his full stacks u retard

  • you obviously have 0 idea what you are talking about. There is footage of hendrix at Wight, with his omnipresent fazz face(s) right there along with him.

If this was not true, then howd he get a clean tone without changing the settings on every onel of his amps???

  • he didn't get a clean tone u idiot. Everybody knows Isle of Wight was his worst performance most people blame it on the cheap equipment used at the festival and he did change the tone on all his amps watch the whole live DVD & u'll c that he did in every song especially in voodoo child & machine gun you retard

  • @JimiHendrixSite

ok. first of all 4 stacks of marshall plexis are not cheap, nor a fender strat.

Isle of Wight wasnt his worst concert.. There was no worst concert and if there is it would have been peace + love festival...

    BITCH

  • roll the guitar volume down??? just sayin

  • you can easily go from screeching distortion to soft jazzy cleanness, just by rolling back your guitars volume knob ;)

  • you can see him push on the pedal when he solos artard

  • @JimiHendrixSite Thanks, I've always wondered why, at the Isle of Wight he sounded SOOOOO heavy.....In Jimi Plays Berkley the sound is clear as crystal...a month later at the Isle of Wight all was chaos...somebody said his amps were on there way out and maybe that was why the sound was like it was. or just another of Jimi's unfathomable mysteries..

  • I have had one of these pedals for about a year.. they are simply amazing.

I also have the roger mayer axis fuzz which is also cool and many other fuzz and distortion pedals including ts-808 etc etc.. but this is the THE fuzz in my opinion.

  • Great playing and demo !

Check out my Behringer one above !

  • Would the Fuzz Face be good with a hollow body guitar with P90 pickups like the Epiphone Casino????

  • Sure, just make sure your amp isn't a bad solidstate amp

  • could any1 tell me plaease is this battery powered?

  • Yep! one 12 v battery! no power socket though, which means ONLY a battery!

No LED indicator, Which i think is a major pisser!!!!!!

And the jack sockets are the wrongway round!!!

We ALL know Jimi was a lefty but come on! Just makes placing on a pedal board an ass! as does the size and shape!!!!

That said, you cant beat this pedal for sound! which, lets not beat around the bush, is what its really all about!

Looks, Features, Practality- not sure of spelling! lol! =Crap!

    Sound=Unbeatable!

  • Ah you don't need an LED on this kind of fuzz pedal - you know if its on with one note!

  • True! lol!

    Would be useful though!

  • The MXR silicon fuzz is the answer to these problems. Dunlop owns MXR and they've basically brought it up to the present by making it much smaller , with LED and a buffer.

  • yes a 9 volt got one myself as long as u unplug it once ur done i found that it lasts a decent amount of time!

  • ahh right ok. i might go get 1. cheers for replyin n for the help.

  • Oh yeah and by the way I have one of these and I just bought a 1 Spot bettery clip adapter that allows it to be powered by your pedal board.

  • oh ok cool, how much u pay for the adaptor?

  • about 10-20 bucks.

  • oh ok cheers m8

  • oh sweet well now im definatley getting this i almost got london fuzz i really like this tone but dont like batterys

  • on ebay for 3 dollars shipped you can get a tiny cord that that conects to the battery outlet and makes so you can plug a power supply into it.

  • yup the 1 spot adapters are the way to go i power my board from these.

  • A battery cover would be a good addition! bit of a pain undoing screws and plates when you want to install one!

  • Now that I can get behind! :p

  • i wish they still sold the hendrix pedal "the experience"

  • "windoes98se (1 month ago)

    germanium transistors crap out easialy,

lol, it really looks like a face!"

Whew... thank god this is a Silicon Transistor haha

  • lol! noticed that too!

'it really looks like a face'!!!!!!!

Well, not called a fuzz face because it looks like a cock!

    lol! classic!

  • I just got one of these today, gonna hook it up tonight!

  • thanks for posting man. what setup are you using? i think i'm gonna buy one but i'm not sure yet. help me out =]

  • does anyone no aboutthe hendrix pedal by Digitech any reviews etc. thanks

  • The Hendrix pedal by Digitech is a digital effects pedal, with many different sounds. The Dunlop Fuzzfaces, and original fuzzfaces, are analog. The differences are quality of sound. The digital pedals try to do all this different stuff, but can't match the sound quality of a dedicated analog effect, which does one thing and does it well.

I wouldn't use digital effects for anything. They try to "emulate the sounds of the originals" but fail because they're digital crap.

  • yeah digitech sucks if your looking for a more "vintage" sound. the only drawback to buying analog equipment though is that it can get a bit pricey, but the sound quality is enormously better.

  • germanium transistors crap out easialy,

lol, it really looks like a face!

  • A real eardrum attack of a pedal!

I'm looking forward to buying it.

  • I chose the Roger Mayer classic fuzz over this one a while ago and now i'm havin' second thoughts... Does enyone now how this reacts to humbuckers?

  • idk but i know hendrix used the flying v its probably fine

  • Is this an improvised piece or is it actually from a song cuz I like it.

  • I got rid of a bunch more expensive fuzzes after I got this one, very authentic sounding FF. Cleans up better than some germanium fuzzes that I've owned.
