  • umm mj was the greatest player of all time but not best dunker of all time..any body can posterize a dude but takes a real person to pull off unthinkable dunks like vinsanity

  • VC is easily number #1. I mean, if you understand anything from basketball at all you know it's not even close. If you ask the top so called dunkers they will all agree.

  • cmon..... VC didn't come up with the dunks he does? MJ, Dr.J..... they started it all. VC just got his ideas from MJ or DR.J's dunking videos! VC is more creative but MJ built the foundation on which VC got his ideas from!

  • @MultiScienceMan ... for sure. !! and comparing inovations, few can compare with Jordan, Dr J and ... ( one forgotten great ) Elgin Baylor, a really revolutionary player. The first modern dunker. Of course his dunkings were primal, but ... at that time it was really greater than Carter at his time. And when i say style, i mean Connie Hawkins, for exemplo, that could be much more stylist with a simple dunking than carter breaking the hoop.

  • carter had no style ... itas only brutal. personally, i prefer kemp instead carter. And, jordan, for sure .. numer one in dunking too.

  • @zackjr carter had the most style the NBA has ever seen i advise you to go watch the 2000 dunk contest

  • nooooooo MICHAEL JORDAN IS #11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

  • There's way too much "respect" shown in this countdown.. I bet Jordan, Wilkins, Dr. J all sat there and went "what?! I'm above Vince?! You gotta be kidding me!"

  • Top 5...5.Kobe Bryant.4.Dr J.3.Dominique Wilkins2.Michael Jordan.1.Vince Carter..it should be this Way...

  • i saw vince live in toronto windmill, and have 2 breathtaking tomahawks in the first half. . Whether Vince is human or not is beyond me. but he is easily the #1 dunker all time

  • Oh let me add more. Who has reversed a 360 and windmilled at the same time? Who caught alley oops in games backwards and double pumped them? Um yeah. As far as dunk contests go, vince would win that in too. Jordan was weak in a contest for doing the same dunk he did right before. Vince wouldnt do that.

  • Number four? Whose in charge of the voting? Thats garbage. Nobody has caught alley oops and windmilled them, jumped over 7 footers literally, reversed 360s, windmilled in traffic, etc. Thats garbage. People want to say he is probably the best? No he is.

  • vince carter is probably the greatest dunker the nba has ever seen..100% agree with reggie on this one lol

  • thanks for ALL the highlights Vince

  • how is he not #1??????...unfkknbelievable

  • If there is one thing Carter didnt underachieve in, its dunking. Since hsi rookie year, he's been the Lord of the Rim

  • #4 my ass!

  • No one can beat VC !

  • VINCE king of dunks

  • VC - only player to jump over a 7-footer and dunk on him in-game

VC - the only player I've seen throw down windmills in traffic/on opposing players

VC - has shit on everyone who isn't Shaq since '99

    VC = #1

  • @SFO14 thats cuz shaq dont play D

  • @SFO14

Only player to do a baseline 360 in a game.

only player to do numerous windmill alleyoops in game. (full extension of the arm).

  • @SFO14

01 - MJ didn't jump over WEISS because he didn't have oportunity to do that (because he could do that easily). Weiss just bow a little when saw VC comming. Carter was playing agains't France, a non-NBA player, a tall but really much slower player.

    02 - Are u kidding me.

03 - MJ has shit on everyone, except a yourger SHAQ, including Robinson, Ewing, Olajuwon and Mutombo. If u want that, even Lebron is bettar than Carter in it.

  • @zackjr Yes, Carter was playing against France, b/c they were in the OLYMPICS, and Weiss was supposed to go to the NBA until the league saw this clip.

I love MJ, he's the GOAT, but VC has got him in this category. I'm usually open to debate, I'm not THAT stubborn but on this issue I don't budge. VC = greatest NBA dunker of all time.

VC has climbed Mount Mutombo, he's dunked on David Robinson, not sure he would've had the chance to get The Dream, he got 'Zo, along w/ everyone else.

  • @SFO14 ... i was just arguing against those specific arguings from you. If Carter did that, Jordan could do that too. But i admit that in some situations Carter had advantage. And those advantages are not easily to show, to write about. Its hard to explain why i prefer Jordan .. because its a subjective reason. I like jordan because his dunkings had more style, grace and were against better teams and players (and in more complex situations, as importants playoffs).

  • @zackjr that's why it's pretty stupid of us to debate this b/c it's all so subjective. You prefer MJ, I prefer VC (as far as dunking goes). I love me some MJ clips though, he had ridiculous athleticism, power, all that good stuff. But VC back in the day just dunked it w/ such ferocity, and he also had style and did stuff in games you've never seen before. It was just insane to see and you couldn't believe that he'd do certain things (windmill/360 in traffic) but to each his own.

  • @SFO14 ... allright, so. ! But i dont think its stupid to debate this. But allright. U prefer the powerforce i prefer the grace.

  • @zackjr you're right, stupid isn't the right word, but like we're pretty much both agreeing upon it's all subjective and comes down to personal preference. My fav. dunker is VC, his dunk against the Pacers his rookie season is what got me not he bandwagon, double pump reverse dunk on the baseline in traffic. Vinsanity was born. I don't think he could do the FT dunk as nice as MJ, although I've seen vids of him doing it.MJ revolutionized the game, as well as finishing, without MJ there's no VC

  • #1 SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck all u VC haters...yall know he's the best ever

  • vince carter had all the talent to be the best basketball player to ever lace up. But the passion just wasn't/isn't there man, and it's ashame to have to watch him get older, and older, as his talent passes him by.

  • @vasileicedog123 He seems really motivated this year.

  • he focused too much on his dunks rather to improve his all around game. Basketball historians will view his career as disappointing.

  • even kobe says vince is the best dunker of all time, better than jordan, dominique, erving, all of em. people that think vince isn't the best dunker probably never actually saw his dunks

  • fuck u espn...are you kidding me?vc number 4?big mistake.VC=BEST DUNKER EVER

  • I'll slam dunk him ALL NIGHT<33 I don't know who's hotter.............Vince or Tracy?

  • If VC is #4, the top 3 must've been:

    #3: Vinsanity

    #2: Air Canada

    #1: Half Man, Half Amazing

  • Espn rubbing the balls of michael jordan it definately goes to vince carter.

  • really....there is no better dunker than Vince

  • I can name 10 VC dunks that we never seen another player did, and probably not capable to do.

  • @namiejames are u serious? 10? only??

  • @namiejames name it

  • Vince Carter should have definitely been #1. We all love MJ and he is the greatest player, but i don't understand how he was the greatest dunker. Vince by far outstripped him when it comes to dunking.

  • I simply agree.

Remember that 360 Reverse Windmill at the 2000 Dunk competition 9 YEARS AGO?...

Lebron can barely do a 180 Windmill with the "leaked practice facility" tape.

  • Comment removed

  • When it comes to in game dunks you're right for sure, MJ would just double clutch and circumvent the help defender with a layup, where as vince would try to go over you. In a slam dunk contest they were both unique and had different styles, so in a slam dunk contest it's a tie for me between them, as i haven't seen literally anyone else duplicate some of the dunks they performed yet.

  • MICHAEL JORDAN THE BEST OF THE BEST #1111111111111111111111111

  • WTF Vince is 6'6'' with a 60'' vert thats ridiculious and I bet his arm lenght is like 7'

  • no that's exaggerating. He's 6'5" with shoes, and probably 45 inches at max vertical in his prime. 60 inches is liek on the moon.

  • Vince Carter shouldn't have been no lower than number 1 on the list

  • wtf he should be number one, tracy, bryant, etc. are good dunkers but vince is the GREATEST dunker, as reggie miller said

  • i like it

  • anything they can do, he can do it better and higher

  • not number 1? now thats some bullshit
