  • I am very happy to see the vidoe after you give this Why Mac? Computer Science

  • I Really Like The Video From Your Why Mac? Computer Science

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Why Mac? Computer Science

  • after i watched this video, my insight is very open because the video is very good to give information Why Mac? Computer Science

  • If you use anything other than Linux/GNU for programming you fail. Macs are for psychology, social humanities majors who couldn't tell the difference between 2 and 4 gb of ram.

  • Anyone that know's the song in the background?

  • "Never crashes?" - Ruby-On-Rails ...stop saying Ruby ....its not the same. "Were always going to be with apple." -even if they're as bad as any other company except they co-opt Ghandi and Dr.MLK while stamping out philanthropy and denying charitable organisations from making apps to directly donate through. .......gotta love the exponants of apple-ware.

  • Lol.. I love the comment " without osx that never crashes.." . I'm glad you guys love your computers and I don't want to take that away from you. I've worked for Apple tech support. When you called 1800 my apple you were talking to me. Macs crash. I've seen updates that crash mac computers. And they are made of nuts and bolts like any pc so they fail as well. Keep enjoying your computers and never switch, but turn the fanboy down a tad.

  • Ruby, Scalable applications..Umad?

  • Get a Linux OS... You can install it at any computer, mobile device, embedded systems, etc...

  • This isn't computer science... Ruby works on any OS, not just macs. Apple didn't develop any of the tools in this video other than OSX and the computer itself. So I don't understand what Macs have to do with anything. I could switch everything about Apple and Macs with Linux or even Windows and this would still be true.

  • @taschemann1 Acutally they didn't even develop half of the hardware either.

  • I don't like computers

I like doing things with computers

  • i think its funny when people state that they know their pc pretty well and say, that mac-users have no clue of computers, but in the end, these people claiming to be experts can barely start their key generators and no-cd-cracks

  • @Blinkwing I think you'll find we use gold-utilis-disks because we want quality software and could care less about brushed aluminum .....which to be says 2star mediteranian hotel / building site.

  • @temporaldisplacement your comment doesn't make sense, but from what I understand, you base your argumentation on prejudices.

Mac OS X is a damn stable operating system - no doubt - and it is great for professional work (not only gfx, but also programming (even without Xcode)).

Every OS has it's advantages, let's see what Windows 8 will bring...

  • @Blinkwing "..which to me.." = typo. gold-utilis-disks = illegal compressed CD containing hundreds of full programmes(pre-cracked). Just watched the Build:Keynote speech on Win8 ....I'm impressed.

  • people are bitching that these people don't know anything shut the fuck up it doesn't even matter i mean obviously if you knew more than they did about what they're doing you would of inveted something better than ruby.

  • btw, if you know what you're doing, linux are the best, but sadly I can't code yet =/

  • imovie? that's called you pirate sony vegas

I've only crashed on the pc I have now because I wanted to see what would happen if I ran 2 games of command and conquer on max settings :D and then it just froze and I had to restart

  • How is this computer science. just becuase you failed to use an actual computer you switch over to a toy more or less and praise it for all to view. this video is a joke the creators of the video are beyond retarded.

  • ZOMFG ITS A MAC!!!! YOU CAN.... PROGRAM IN IT AND... UHHH MAKE INSPIRATION AND.....ITS UM... BETTER BECAUSE APPLE PAID US FOR THIS!!!

  • ajajajaja that is not science jajajaja a mac program not close to being called science jajajjajaja..... I laughed for your ignorance

  • I don't get why people have a computer war over which is better. They are all computers... but some just look different or use different programs

  • MAC, Crash different!

    os10 never crashes?

    HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHAHAH

  • Mac users don't seem to understand computers and their limits.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Mac has no limits. If you want to show that there isn't a limit, you have to try to code something for it, and then show that it's not possible. It all depends on what's coded for it, and ANYTHING can be coded or recoded to work on Macintosh.

  • @Rifalltoo OK. Code Battlefield Bad Company 2 to run on a </=$1200 Mac without performance issues.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 If you want it so much, you do it. I don't study computer code at all.

  • @Rifalltoo I don't. I'm telling you to find out of it's happened, since "anything is possible on a Mac".

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Possible, and accomplished are different things.

  • @Rifalltoo But not ANYTHING is possible on a Mac.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 okay, then let me rephrase it. Anything that's possible for windows or Linux computers is also possible for Macintosh as well.

Show me a windows PC that supports mutitouch. Show it to me. Because I know all macs today have it.

Show Me a windows Laptop with a unibody and/or aluminum enclosure. Because Mac has it.

It's possible for PC, but there are different vendors taking shortcuts to cut the price.

    Mac's aren't "worse", they're different.

  • @Rifalltoo With a few extra thousand dollars and Bootcamp, sure. That doesn't count, though.

Eh...multi-touch? We've passed Kindergarten here, so you really should be able to fight the urge to put your fingers on the screen. Windows 7 supports multi-touch, but I'm sure it's the monitor that determines it, not the operating system.

Show me a Windows user who cares about the case.

Good thing I built this one, then.

OK. I'm not dumber than Stephen Hawking, I'm just "different".

  • @Rifalltoo PC's aren't worse, they're different. You said it, mate.

  • GAY!

  • lol macfags

  • "Without OS X that never crash"

Then why does mine crash every time I open photoshop.

  • @Borridd Did you get the right version? Some versions might not be compatible with certain kinds of Memory, processor, etc. for whatever lame reason.

  • He can relate to his product. Like macs he takes bits of nothing and turns it into eye candy which he sells at stupidly high prices.

  • @TheZachusaman You're talking about windows 7. Alone, the OS can cost 300 dollars. For what? Compared to XP, it's pretty much just eye candy and a few features that resize your windows (and you call mac users lazy). Windows still runs about the same as years ago, except now windows 7/Vista are more "secure". . . not really.

  • I think the IT budget for these two guys must be bigger than that of my own multinational corporate employer after seeing this rad hardware!

  • > Ruby

    Shit language.

    > The good thing about Ruby on a Mac is they fit together.

    Yeah, pretty much.

Using a shit language on a shit system.

  • All makes of cars have issues, no one likes the same flavor of ice cream not everyone likes the same kind of movies or television shows. Letterman is better, no Leno is better no Carson is the best, on and on and on. If you prefer a Mac over a PC, no big deal. Use what you consider to be the best machine.

  • wintards?

  • i hate how apple keeps bullshitting that macs dont crash, they do crash... A LOT!

  • @justmymage Well i know that macs crash but windows crashes oftener. I am owner of a windows 7 windows xp windows vista, and mac os x leopard mac os x snow leopard and ETC in my experience, Mac gives out better graphics in the pictures.. If you use your windows at a image site you will see it just loads the picture and the graphic is normal, but when you use a mac it loads the picture with better graphic windows is better for buissness and gaming.

rate me up if you think mac&windows = both good

  • idiots pc can even can do more than macs , upgrade in pc: easy , mac :should be in the store for weeks -.-

  • @corruptschool

"some people prefer not to look like a 10 year old idiot on a 1 megapixel webcam with poor editing skills in Windows "movie" maker"

Some people prefer not to look like a 10 year old idiot on a computer that isn't created for the computer illiterate.

"i'm gonna rock final cut and logic pro till the day I die. have fun PC!"

That term is used by hipsters to describe their clothing/fashion accessories.

    Have fun, poser!

  • @AngryNicklos Recording on pc for the last 10 years almost...dude...cant beat logic pro 9/garageband. Windows cant compete with that shit. I will miss some things about windows though, like gaming and plug and play type stuff, but simply my music creation workflow sucks ass on pc; it takes me using like 3 programs to get the job done when I can use one program to knock it all out in a nice clean interface like logic

  • @AngryNicklos gotta admit though, Im not a fan of that hipster, snobby, facebook is better type mentality mac fans have. Its what kept me from buying one for the longest time. But now that the whole thing has dumbed down a little and I can look at my needs, I see that mac is the way to go for my case at least. I've been through about 6 windows laptops already within almost 4 years.

  • @RNRDOLL

    Absolutely.

Its not a problem of the computer, its how you present its pros/cons.

  • Wow... People really love to hate Apple nowadays, don't they?

  • mac is bull shitt its only design to promot apples shope name itunes and i stores etc what i know most of the people around me uses Pc so its easy to share files without worrying about the compatibility like file extensions and file format

  • underdo?

  • I love how people who support macs know almost nothing real about computers

  • linux > windows > mac

  • @zubatzu finally sombody who gets it

  • operating system has nothing to do with graphics...and the video cards that pc's offer blow mac graphics out of the water...wtf is this guy on?

  • Love the Arabic song in the background, could you give me the name?

  • is computer science and computer programing the same?

  • @ltong88 no, that is a common misconception. computing science is the application of computers to science in general. to do so, you will need a deep understanding of computers and programming. so hence if you studied computing science at university or college level, you would learn programming, algorithms and efficiency amongst other things. the important thing to understand is that computing science readies you for the practical applications of computing. it is however, a great way to get into

  • @ltong88 a career of software development. software engineering is more focused on the development stages, planning, programming, efficiency, algorithms. although very similar, software engineering focuses less on practical solutions and more on implementation. :)

  • FFS

  • Mac are brilliant. I've had macbook classic, macbook, and currently macbook pro.

Iove them, However I do like to keep up to date with windows OS,and functions

  • What do you know about graphics. What does that even mean.

  • this is so bias towards apple. these guys are losers, pretencious apple snobs, thats really what they are. and people wonder why alot of PC gamers hate mac users

  • @ecurules i'm a pc user and macs are great but its too overpriced i will still a pc :) stupid mac can't be on pc -.-

  • No self-respecting or semi-knowledgable coder would ever choose the Mac platform for development. What a joke! Hmm. Ruby over C#? Riiiiiight.

  • mac doing better graphic?? wat the hell is that... -.- shit it up, how much Apple pay u guys...

  • Macs are great for people who aren't so technically minded, but that's their only advantage over Windows machines.

  • lol, this dude is hilarious... obviously has shit all idea of how computers work

  • Lol i wondered if apple payed them to swallow or they did it for free.

  • mac's better than pc

  • mac is for big noobs

  • The last sentence might as well have said, "well always be close minded"

  • GAH! 37 signals programs are bullshit, "our programs are simple", ya hes right there, so simple they dont do shit, they are made for someone who is afraid to leave the start menu. PS Ruby blows junks too.

  • ruby on rails is bullshit?

can you write a better framework? ofc not

    so stfu

  • can you write a better framework? ofc not

you answered your own question. brilliant.

  • i was replying to the guy who said it sucks

  • sorry :|

  • Mac's are polished turds for idiots willing to pay twice as much for a computer that does so much less. Mac nerds just wanna be able to say i use a MAC so they might stand out.

  • Why do you stupidly generalise? you got your retarded mac users and your normal mac users. Price is no longer the issue when buying the mac. Apple are dropping the price of their computers immensely. go check the website... decent specs for cheap.

  • dont feed the trolls

  • lol, i like ruby too

  • Lol mactards dont understand computers. OMG MAC ROAWCKS FOR TEH ARTAST! CUSE IT GOTZ UHH I MOIVE AND AHAHAHAHA GARAGEBAND AND UHHH LIKE GOOD ART STUFF FOR FREE LOL WINDOWZ SUACKS CUSE DEY GET NUTTAN FOR FREE!LOLZ U LIKE CRSHSHES!!!!!!!!!OMG WTF LOL!

  • coolface.jpg

  • @AMOEBACARROT mac is also very good for heavy science applications but you won`t understand that yet. they`re also more human friendly than windows, you will see this feature more and more in the future and people use them because they just do what you want, they simply work. pd: i`m a windows user

  • @AMOEBACARROT and i bet you use windows.. windows users are generally negligent. that is even worse.

  • @AMOEBACARROT I get it, this video is pretty biased. But lots of people underestimate the macintosh platform. Mac has a terminal too, so if you think opening command prompt and typing in "net user" to reset a password is PC-exclusive and "l33t", think again. And yes, us macs like our "free shit". some people prefer not to look like a 10 year old idiot on a 1 megapixel webcam with poor editing skills in Windows "movie" maker. i'm gonna rock final cut and logic pro till the day I die. have fun PC!

  • @AMOEBACARROT Yes, you could look at the idiots that act like this, OR you could look at every professional editor that edits in either AVID or FCP 7 on a Mac. Actual artists don't use iMovie and Garageband, soccer moms do, and that's what Apple throws them in for. Just because there are a lot of airheads out there, doesn't mean that you should judge a product based solely on them.

  • As an artist I would prefer staying away from computers when doing my art. Analog all the way. I love computers but I just feel held back by them MACS AND PCS.

  • I see positives to Mac and PC's, as well as cons.

  • lol @ ruby

  • Ruby? RUBY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GO KILL YOURSELVES!

  • Wow he really needs an "elegant" user interface in order to run commands in a terminal window? What a joke! What a bunch of marketing garbage...

  • Boo, Mac is an underhanded bastard of a company. Their commercials are pure slander and their products are little more than the competition.

  • with all due respect to all OS communities, any unix variant is the way forward. you cant call yourself a "computer scientist" unless you have experience with unix or one of it's derivatives. I agree that mac is over priced but then so are Ferrari, it all boils down to a personal choice

  • Can anyone share how many MAC OS vs PC OS machines are used in the world and also country by country?

  • Ruby a good language? Thats like saying Visual Basic is a good language.

Get a PC and run Linux on it. Compared to OsX and Windows Linux is more stable, better for development, more secure, FREE, doesn't use nearly as much resource, has more programs available than windows and Mac combined, and thanks to compiz fusion your desktop and graphics look way... better. You can run Linux on a Mac, PC, cell phone, Xbox, Wii, Playstation, and even an Ipod. Whats to argue?

  • Yeah, there's even a guy that made Linux run on his watch.

  • seriously? I have never heard of that.

  • Unfortunately I have nothing to back it up with, as I can't find anything on Google, so it might be a lie, I don't know, but in theory it should work, tone it down so much that only the clock service or something would run on it.

  • Macs switched architecture in 2005 to x86. And they are using video cards traditionally used in PCs.

Why make the Mac a PC if it's so much better?

This is just an expensive PC any idiot can put together himself, packaded in some stylish case.

Totally scientific... Those 'scientists' are obviously paid actors used to trick people who know nothing about computers in general into buying an overpriced PC.

That's why the video is property of apple. It's pure nonsensical propaganda.

  • yes ik now more about macs than you i have used them for 10 years, Macs do not run windows by default, they run OS X so they are not an IBM PC. I have upgraded many macintoshes, Including a Powerbook, PowerMac, MacBook, iMac g3, iBook & Mac mini. I have also built my own PC's, but i don;t like PC's there UGLY horrible things. I

  • oh btw, the switched to intel in Jan 2006, they announced in WWDC 05, but didn't switch till Macworld 06, so i wouldn't listen to you. Also they don't use PC gfx cards, they either have to be mac editions or you flash a PC card so it works in a mac.

  • LOL look 93 is for 1993 eh? That would make you 15. Back in 1986 when you were -7 years old i was messing around on an apple IIe playing paratrooper. And thankfully it was the last time i ever used one, well besides at school where i had to use those monochrome idiot-boxes with 1 mouse button.

Macs used to use Motorolla, then IBM PowerPC CPUs.

Now they use Intel 'x86' (x64), and intel chipsets, with nvidia or ATi video cards, which makes them an overpriced PC. The only thing mac is the OS.

  • As for prices, PC's and macs are very close in price. You do pay a small premium for apple laptop products because of their noteworthy support, style, etc. But for the Mac pro its pretty fairly price for what you are putting into it.

  • Yeah but what the hell is the point of this video?

It's pure BS. Anything that you want to run on the MacPro, you can run on a regular PC anyhow because you can install OSX on one. It's in no way better than a regular PC, in fact i'd say that it's a lot worse due to shortcomings such as lack of SLI.

  • loL,

Yes i agree that Macs are not any better than PC's. But I'm talking about Pricing here not performance.

  • I can't be bothered doing a direct comparison. Lets imagine they're exactly the same price. There's no reason to get a mac and every reason to get a PC. If you want mac software, you can still use it. And you can chuck a cheap video card in your PC down the road, whether for gaming, or science purposes.

This video annoys me, all it is is false advertising.

  • All you're saying is true. Anything you can do on a Mac you can do it on a PC with your customization, etc.

But some people like the look and feel on a Mac that PC's don't provide. I use windows b/c I like it. I also believe its good that apple threatens the PC market because it'll make all their competitors build something better.

  • In fact, since GPUs are gaining popularity as co-processors, and they are many times faster than a CPU, they could be used to massively increase processing power when in SLI mode. THAT is better for science!

    Youtube:

"Scalable Parallel Programming with CUDA on Manycore GPUs"

"Graphics chips not just for gaming, for serious apps too!"

Google: "Apple said to have sights on Nvidia's CUDA technology" June 6, 2008

  • I really liked this video a lot. It made me not want to get a mac, but get a computer I REALLY want.

I'm an honest believer that you should only use a computer that you enjoy using. I enjoy using PC's, but some of my friends enjoy their Mac's.

"it should be something they want to use"

  • I never had a problem with a Windows PC;until I tried to use one!!!! :-D

  • too hard to work more than 1 mouse button at a time, was it?

  • Excuse me, what?

  • oh nothing. I'm sure macs are better for engineering also, as long as you get one of the dorks in this video to say so...

  • What the hell are you talking about?

This was a reply to a comment before, but somehow it didn't get attached to the comment before.

I was replying to what someone said that Macs are compatible with everything on Windows, which is BS as far as certain programs.

  • People who say that Macs suck probably have never used a Mac in their life. I've used a PC all my life but I've used Macs in school. I thought they were very unique and cool with their capabilities. I'm going to be buying a Mac Book Pro here very soon. And to get a point out to people who post that Macs don't ever get viruses, they are both right and wrong. Most of the viruses today are programmed more towards the windows platform. They don't make viruses for Macs much but they can still get one

  • Macintosh for all people any one need to know must go to apple software in her site and see what the Macintosh is?.

  • Is this a joke? Apple sucks

  • really now do you think us OSX user will really take you seriously with such simple arguments? come back when your intelligence level has increased to something of that over 0.5

  • Fuck both of yall!Go outside and do something with your lives instead of arguing of something your more superior than!

  • what size apple cinema display is that? Great Video

  • Is this an 37signals' advert?

  • can anyone give me a reason...why should i buy a mac? and whats so special about it?

  • If you're not sure why you would need a Mac, then you probably don't need a Mac.

  • well i recently bought a mac and ive noticed i dont have any spyware, adware, viruses, crashes, fatal errors as i use to on Windows. Windows gave me huge selection of softwares but nowadays Mac is doing the same in its software selection. Go for mac if you want stable, user friendly computer experience.

  • well if u recently baught one then how would you know? you dont get a virus the first time u log on on windows aswell. to say the truth the best/only way to get a virus on any computer is to surf for porn xD

  • yeah. mac is not for all. only a few have the privilege to use...it's stupid to buy a mac only to decorate your room. you have to love it.

  • what is a mac good for

  • macs DO NOT get viruses, there has never been a virus outbreak on the mac platform. On windows its every 5 seconds somewhere in the world. Been using macs for 10 years no viruses as of yet. i installed windows xp in vmware on my mac and it was only 30 minuets before I got a virus, with no protection installed. My macs have never got viruses and no problems what so ever and that only has its UNIX foundation and still much more secure

  • That might be because you have no knowledge about computers. Now what the hell did you do in order to get a virus in 30 minutes? Did you go to porno sites? Yeah, that's what I thought. And how the HELL do you know that you got a virus when you're a Windows-noob?! I don't even use antiviruses for Windows. I know what I'm doing. I have control. My Windows XP doesn't even take over 50 MB RAM. BECAUSE I'm aware of what I'm doing. When the "Windows XP" comes up and goes to fully loaded. Char. limit.

  • a tone of IE windows kept opening, i got pop ups from the task bar saying that windows was infected and I did it on purpose just leaving it connected to the internet with no anti virus installed running SP1

  • i know what I'm doing too, if you read my comment properly i wanted to see how long it would take for windows to catch a virus

  • Well, simple. Don't use IE. Just anything else but IE. And don't visit porn sites, OK? :)

Windows can't read .dmg? Bullshit. There are a .dmg to .iso converter. And who uses .dmg anyway? .dmg is Mac-only. That's why. Not even my mother gets viruses without anti virus. And she barely knows what Vista is. I can do nothing but laugh at your channel background. AHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Mac is ugly as hell. Wait.. uglier. No, wait. Hell is kinda cute compared to Macs.

  • why on earth would i go on sites like that, macs are not UGLY they have won design awards for almost 11 years. They. ISO is only for PC's but a mac can still burn it without using converters and stuff, i',m guessing your poor & can't afford macs thats why you don't like them

  • your looking for trouble, if you don't like macs why are you watching videos about them. I never watched videos about PC's I don't want to know & don't care about them. Mac rule and your too poor to afford one of the keys off the MacBook keyboard lol

  • btw your channel background is a mac background lol, its the tiger aqua blue background edited with a color change. I have more subs than you & much better videos

  • If Mac's were black.. I'd be interested. I'm too poor? LMAO. I bought my own parts for a PC 2 months ago INCLUDING a 22" monitor, mouse surface, mouse, keyboard and a 5.1 speaker system for 17000 SEK (that's about 1430 GBP). I wanted to see what Mac's can offer, why? You don't watch clips about PC's? I don't know that but YOU FUCKING MAKE clips about Windows. Don't come and say "you don't care about them". Yes, the Mac's background is nice? So what if I use them? I want performance.

  • well the Mac pro gives you much better performance, my entire setup was over £4,000

  • What a stupid arse fanboy.

It's quite evident that you don't understand what the hell is actually IN a mac.

    Take your Mac PRO:

    Intel 5400 chipset - PC

    Intel Xeon CPUs - PC

DDR2 memory - PC (which is using DDR3)

Nvidia or ATI video - PC

(BUT can't do CrossFire or SLI on a Mac. AND it's LAST GEN video cards not the current ones)

Everything 'computer' about it is taken FROM A FUCKING PC.

For £4,000+, i could build an equivalent PC (which would actually be better) and still be rich

  • 'm getting a mac pro & i don't think you could beat its specs for £4,000, it supports 32GB RAM, 4TB Hard drive, NVIDIA QUADRO FX graphics & 8 core xeon running at 3.2Ghz, i don't see many pc's what have 32GB ram & you can have up to 8 30'' apple displays running off it

  • This setup is not a new found setup because Mac Pro's are considered workstation class computers. Any workstation class computer can have the same setup.

Apple, as for hardware, does not bring anything new the table that has already been done in PC's.

  • if you think I'm stupid then

    what day was apple founded

What is Mac OS X's Kernel

    When was the iPod released

When did Apple switch to PowerPC

What was the first version iMac released

When did steve Jobs return to Apple

  • also you do realize that £4,0000 was the cost of my hardware, Including my 3 Mac minis, MacBook & PowerMac plus my 22'' monitor, and other accessorizes. I didn't include software what i bought like adobe design cs3, & final cut studio, final cut is 849 i got it for 450 & Adobe CS3 suite for 250.

  • I don't care for mac trivia it doens't prove shit.

LOL you said nothing about the macs really being PCs as i pointed out.

    Again:

    Intel xeon CPU - PC

    Intel 5400 Chipset - PC

    Nvidia GPU - PC

AND you can't do SLI if you have 2 or more quadros.

Wow it SUPPORTS 32GB ram but you only have to fork out an extra $9100 for it. Extra xeon - $1600. $2450 for the 4 TB+RAID. Nvidia quadro $2850. 7 extra 30" displays - $12600. Hey i can build myself a supercomputer for $31,500 (19K minus 7x30")

  • money isn't an issue to me, both my parents have high up jobs,

  • Yeah good for you. Doesn't change the fact that it's overpriced PC hardware running MacOSX (which you can run on a PC anyhow).

And if you're worried about high end performance, not being able to SLI your video cards is like having 8 xeon cores but only having 1 do the work.

Thus again - this is pure propaganda by paid actors - macs are just PCs in disguise, for fools who wanna pay extra money because some guy said so on in marketing video.

There is nothing more 'scientific' about a mac.

  • You have 24 videos. How many do I have? 1. What does that tell you? Of course you have more subscribers than me. Does it make YOU better? No. Better videos? You can't even spell in your videos. -.- I'm Swedish and my grammar is better than yours, lol. I made my little video as a joke to the game Spore. I play Crysis at max settings. :) Can you do that? Sure, convince me that a Mac is better. I'll gladly swap if it's better. So far, I think Linux is the r0x0r.

  • none of my videos have spelling mistakes in it

  • BULLSHIT. Anyway, smell ya later. Convince me while I'm gone for the day.

  • It takes about 5 seconds. What games can you run on a Mac? Haha. I shouldn't complain. I use Linux anyway. There I have my 100% control.

  • well i can run every mac & PC game on my mac using crossover mac, Darwine, parallels, vmware or even bootcamp my mac is more compatible than a PC, as many formats a PC can't even read such as .dmg a mac can read both .dmg and iso etc

  • parallels or any VM software really does not give you the best performance in playing PC games.

I would not go as far as Mac is more compatible versus a PC especially right out of the box. In order to do what you said you would have to do some work arounds.

  • if you dont know then you dont need one. And what the guy above me said is totally of course people write viruses for macs. To say they dont is absurd. They use a different file structure than windows, which is the major OS, which means that there are LESS viruses out n the net for macs then there are for windows so the chance you'll get one is lower.

  • great business motto, ' a few things done well'. thats how the ipod took the market, music and video done better than anyone else. all these supposed ipod killers have fm radio, voice recorders, games and look, the ipod ain't dieing

  • i agree the work on the mac is just unbelieveable i can do so much more than on a PC, im a video editor and it is absolutely the best product for this, i even use adobe and i have done some Xcode work building applications, so easy THAnX for the video

  • It won't play.

  • Your background music is loud enough to become forground music. It is really distracting and I can hardly hear what the people are saying.

  • check out these beats i made on a mac at myspace(dot)com/elsewherebeats

  • i love mac computers they are soooooooo cool

  • Was this made with Final cut pro?

  • I like Mac and all, but that was not convincing.

  • Kudos to the cinematographer. Some nice stylistic flairs on this otherwise dull content.

Good job at bringing life out of nothing.

  • If you knew how extremely important programming is to everyday applications, you wouldn't call it "nothing."

  • you are so biased to even think lackinglatin was even talking about programming. Maybe he hates Macs? Just a clue. Also the content was dull, they didn't say how they were doing any of what they claimed. Who says windows is a difficult program to use? Come on, this video is pure garbage. Mac is the best?! I hate Steve Jobs and everything he touches, personal bias, but I hate that bastard. If you "artistic" people knew how to customize your computer, buying a mac wouldn't be at all important.

  • @lordjavathe3rd windows can emulate mac really so pc win and linux too sorry for annoying but i just wanna to know more "curios":D

  • what the hell is ruby?

Isn't it better to write programs that are portable rather than ones that are system-specific? I'm a CS major - Bjarne Stroustrop himself is my professor - and my class writes programs in C++ and they can be compiled under any operating system.

  • I remember when Common Lisp was the programming language used in CS courses. Now, many Computer Science departments just use Java for everything (including OS programming) Kudos on taking up CS though, our kind is growing ever so smaller.
