Every musical piece is constructed with a context in mind. And for me, the context associated with John Williams' music is more meaningful than the works of someone such as Mozart.
Music is about the connection, different for everyone :)

This Movie was the FIRST one to capture the essence of the Batman I grew up with in the comic. Angry, driven, unrelenting, giving no quarter to anyone he comes up against. Thank You Christopher Nolan and Jonothan Nolan for finally bringing The Dark Knight to the screen in the proper fashion. Now if you can only fix Superman....

Zimmer is without doubt my favorite film score composer. But it is interesting to note: It was he, along with Howard, that collaborated with many composers to create the film score both Batman Begins and Dark Knight. However, Zimmer will be the sole composer for DK Rises.
For interests sake, Zimmer wrote some themes for POTC 1, but sent them off to one of his colleagues who actually wrote the scores for the first POTC. Pretty neat. But he is a genius, needless to say.
First of all; I like it!! However, I don't say it's bad, neither I do compare it with Danny Elfman's work, but this is just action movie music, it's nothing less and nothing more what you can find in any other action movie! It doesn't define anything of the character and it doesn't have any creative advancement! I like it, ok, but don't tell me this is a MASTERPIECE because it is not, neither it's a great soundtrack!! Plenty of composers can do this and even better!!

Gimme a break! Zimmer & Howard Soundtrack for Batman kicks Elfman's soundtrack. It's grittier, darker, more agressive and in some parts, more melacholic than Elfman's. If someone disagrees, please take a look at "Barbastella", "Anthrozous", "Artibeus" and "Lasirius" and take your own conclusions ;)

In the first Batman movies it feels more like he just dresses like a bat.

@toagabriel97 haha I knew every part of every quote. I love "Swear to me!", "And you'll never have to." and "I don't have to save you." I love this movie. I find myself watching it late at night every other month or so. It never gets old. Christopher Nolan did a great job with this one. I actually like it a little better than Dark Knight. I love them both but Begins is just so much more epic to me. Quotes really got me in this one. I swear. "Swear to me!"
