That was back on Camtasia 4 I believe - I'm on 6 now and use the Web setting - the mp4's it saves as I find just as good quality as the DivX I used previously.

Hi!

I have a problem, when I edit a video and I click the play button to see what my video look like in the preview box, it's stay black and even the time do not move. What can I do to fix that?

I had that problem myself and only fixed it with a complete reinstall of Camtasia - I'm not sure what causes it or if that's the only way to fix it though. I hope this can help out with your troubles.

Sadly I don't really know why it's like that sometimes as it does the same for be too but not all the time - mostly when I import a clip it takes a while for it to respond again.

How do I make a timelaps video? For example if I am making someting in photoshop which takes a long time and I whant to present it in timelaps in a short period of time. You can see such videos on youtube.

What codec did you save it with? The default Techsmith codec can cause that.

Hmm - that sounds like the video didn't save properly, it happens with me sometimes on downloads - all I could say to help is try saving it again and see if it'll fully save.

why is it that when i record it lags, its not smooth. How do i fix this?

Lag can be caused by the codec you record with (I use DivX set on High Performance), The programs you're running/recording from (Memory intensive ones will slow things down greatly) and the size you use - larger recording areas = more lag.

If you feel it's any of those three then hopefully I've helped say how to fix it.

I had a lot of trouble hearing what you said. Is there a way to make all the clips the same size? you'll see I have that problem with my music video.

Selecting that codec with the settings I shown should help with that - I know that worked for me and stopped it resizing them on me.
