I have never heard a statement so confusing about creation.there is nothing in the bible that says God created one animal each day so that Adam could name it.That is not in harmony with his word.REVELATION 22:18-testify clearly of his stance point of interpretation twisting scriptures.
Question 2: You might enjoy comparing the two accounts of creation, too- Genesis Chapter ONE humans were created AFTER plants and animals. In chapter TWO humans were created BEFORE plants and animals. In chapter ONE man and woman were created at the same time. In chapter TWO man was created before the plants and woman was created after all the animals.

@Imaginefree69 the discrepancy in Genesis is due to its poor translation. The word day could also have been translated as time. God did not necessarily create the world in only seven days. Further, the word order and organize/create could be translated from what we have as create. Meaning that God likely planned the creation of plants before the creation of man but then actually created man first. This would make the Creation chiastic in nature and would give it more symbolic meaning.
if you say that the word "seven days" in the book of Genesis is not literal, then what day would that be? And if you say that a day is symbolizing a year like what other people believe, then literally our seven day in a week calendar now would mean a seven year cycle.. that's insane brother. so in that case, if today is monday, then we should wait a year and then comes tuesday. I recommend you to read again and again the whole story of creation in the book of Genesis and analyze those verses..

I mean given the brief references to the creation by God he obviously didnt think it was important to our salvation enough to dwell on the subject. Im saying that the book of genesis IS literal, but its a bare bones description and it doesnt specify the actual length of time taken in each part but separates it into seven parts to highlight the equal importance of the things done each day. I think that there is a lot of symbolism in the creation story. I think that we have seven days justly because its in reference to those seven periods.
@Imagine to be explicitly clear. hebrew word day =day OR period of time. so Genesis speaks of seven creation periods time of unknown length that could possibly have been a day, or not been. The hebrew word for create could mean either organize/create or order/plan. so he could have planned it, then created it. If he did the creation would be chiastic. this would be symbolic because chiastic structuring is what separates the bible from other aincient texts and is a staple in Jewish Holy writings.
Remember that we are not a bunch of bannanas! We are all uniquely lead of the Spirit, in truth. We beleive and share the fundamental truths, however our walk, our culture, our experiences and discoveries are personal. God did not create us all with the same gifts, the same beleifs, but He reveals truth to all who ask of Him. I'm sure both of these brothres are on the quest to strengthen thier relationship with the Lord.
What we need to do is attend each others church. When we talk of the Body of Christ, it is all churches that beleive in the blood of Christ, and Christ as our victor. It's not just YOUR church. At the concert i had a great time & hope others are turned on too the artists i saw tonite if they don't listen or never heard of them. If the only difference between a baptist type and sda type is the day they worshiped on there would be no disagreement about beliefs. the 7th day baptist worship on saturday and southern/ missionary baptist worship on sunday and u never hear them squabble. Do not take God's grace and mercy for granted is what I'm saying. We have assurance for eternal life through the Blood of Jesus, but because we profess to love Him and follow Him, our lives are to reflect His as much as is possible through abiding in Christ. Sorry buddy, you've stated a common misunderstanding of scripture. God is the ONLY one who can declare a Holy Day which He does in the 4th commandment. The New Testament clearly states our Lord our God still has a "Lord's Day". So what day is it? Saturday or Sunday. The evidence is clear for Saturday.

friend. it's figurative language for death. A Christian isn't really "dead" because our next waking moment will be the resurrection. So in a sense it's death but for the Christian an unconscious sleep before judgment day and the resurrection. Did you look at the site? This is NOT ETERNAL PUNISHING as most the Christian world believes and to say so defecates the JUSTICE & Mercy of our Father in Heaven.

Friend I made that profession the day I got baptized in front of the church as acknowledgment to the fact that I am a sinner in need of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus resurrects ALL the saints in the grave and translates those alive in Christ AT HIS SECOND COMING.

@Imaginefree69 the discrepancy in Genesis is due to its poor translation. The word day could also have been translated as time. God did not necessarily create the world in only seven days. Further, the word order and organize/create could be translated from what we have as create. Meaning that God likely planned the creation of plants before the creation of man but then actually created man first. This would make the Creation chiastic in nature and would give it more symbolic meaning.

if you say that the word "seven days" in the book of Genesis is not literal, then what day would that be? And if you say that a day is symbolizing a year like what other people believe, then literally our seven day in a week calendar now would mean a seven year cycle.. that's insane brother. so in that case, if today is monday, then we should wait a year and then comes tuesday. I recommend you to read again and again the whole story of creation in the book of Genesis and analyze those verses..

@pistolyab he possibly be referring to when there were not yet days on this earth? further, the way the story is written is more like a symbolic general explanation of the way things happened then a blow by blow scientific recipe for the creation of the world. I mean given the brief references to the creation by God he obviously didnt think it was important to our salvation enough to dwell on the subject. I dont think we should take it SO literally when we know the translation is not perfect.

@pistolyab looking back at your question i guess i didnt clearly answer it. Im saying that the book of genesis IS literal, but its a bare bones description and it doesnt specify the actual length of time taken in each part but separates it into seven parts to highlight the equal importance of the things done each day. I think that there is a lot of symbolism in the creation story. I think that we have seven days justly because its in reference to those seven periods.

@Imagine to be explicitly clear. hebrew word day =day OR period of time. so Genesis speaks of seven creation periods time of unknown length that could possibly have been a day, or not been. The hebrew word for create could mean either organize/create or order/plan. so he could have planned it, then created it. If he did the creation would be chiastic. this would be symbolic because chiastic structuring is what separates the bible from other aincient texts and is a staple in Jewish Holy writings.

What we need to do is attend each others church. When we talk of the Body of Christ, it is all churches that beleive in the blood of Christ, and Christ as our victor. It's not just YOUR church. Instead find the good in what each brother is saying, listen to each other and you will find truth, and balance between the law & grace, between love & the ability to overcome.

I heard a sunday keeper tell my Adventisit friend once That "Jesus is the Sabbath" after my friend shared with him for an hour about the truth of the Sabbath. I had to tell each brother "You are right" When I go to Sunday church (Assembly of God)I admire they're charisma, thier faith and power to pray, but I remind them to be obedient and that it is way we can show our love for the Father.

At the concert i had a great time & hope others are turned on too the artists i saw tonite if they don't listen or never heard of them. If the only difference between a baptist type and sda type is the day they worshiped on there would be no disagreement about beliefs. the 7th day baptist worship on saturday and southern/ missionary baptist worship on sunday and u never hear them squabble. Friend. You get this in every denomination around the world. Note, the official sda church has NEVER called ANYONE a "cult", regardless if there are some sda who say this. You are judging a denomination by a few people's comments. I personally know a number of JW and they are really nice people. But the watchtower does set itself up to be the final word in doctrine, similar to Pope. SDA structure is NOT like this regardless of what you may think.

The CWB not officially published, or endorsed, by the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, it is distributed by Review & Herald publishing and sold by Adventist Book Centres which is an official publisher of the denomation. its not "offically" endorsed but its still distributed by the review and herald which all sda material comes from.

I came into the denomination and the 1st thing I said was, if what is said cannot be backed by a respectable bible in the community of Christians, I don't want any part of it. I've checked it out and it says nothing that I haven't already well understood from a respected bible regardless if you disagree with sda doctrine. nope missionary baptist by birth, bapticostal by the grace of God! parents were raised missionary baptist, i was raised southern baptist, but now a bapticostal. Saved on mothers day 1982, the day i knew i was a sinner(Rom. 3:23) and knew if i died (Rom.6:23) i was going too hell if i didn't accept Christ as my savior(Rom. 10:9-13). now i know there is but 1 way too heaven.(John 3:3-7, 14:6)

CW is NOT pushed on sdas and is acknowledged by the church as a good paraphrase but not one to seriously study from or preach from, nor is it endoresed by the church. BIG DIFFERENCE. God the Father God the son and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus died on the cross and rose on the 3rd day. God wrote the 10 commandments. Hell is real (Matt. 23:15) Jesus said its what comes out not goes in that makes us unclean (Mark 7:14-23). there is only one way too heaven not what we say or eat or day we worship on (John 3:3,7,16) how is anything i just said unbiblical?

JESUS died on the cross, stephen declared that JESUS was the "ANGEL" and the GOD who led the israelites out of egypt, and gave the Laws. paul states without JESUS nothing would have been made. Do not take God's grace and mercy for granted is what I'm saying. We have assurance for eternal life through the Blood of Jesus, but because we profess to love Him and follow Him, our lives are to reflect His as much as is possible through abiding in Christ. It's not some declaration, I'm saved and that's all there is to it. Jesus's strongest words are for the hypocrites that call themselves Christians.

Sorry buddy, you've stated a common misunderstanding of scripture. God is the ONLY one who can declare a Holy Day which He does in the 4th commandment. The New Testament clearly states our Lord our God still has a "Lord's Day". So what day is it? Saturday or Sunday. The evidence is clear for Saturday.

friend. it's figurative language for death. A Christian isn't really "dead" because our next waking moment will be the resurrection. So in a sense it's death but for the Christian an unconscious sleep before judgment day and the resurrection. Did you look at the site? Jesus refers death for the Christian as a sleep. And this makes sense because if we are IN Christ, our next waking moment is the Second coming of Christ to the resurrection. All those who are NOT in Christ will experience the SECOND DEATH (not eternal agony in Hell), punishment according to works in the Lake of Fire. This is NOT ETERNAL PUNISHING as most the Christian world believes and to say so defecates the JUSTICE & Mercy of our Father in Heaven.
