JR is hands down the best play by play comentator of all time, i think he surpasses Gordon Sollie. JR and Bobby Hennan would be the dream combo. Lawler is good, but second only to the Brain.

WCW should have gotten SmackDown for winning the Invasion PPV, and the ECW Coalition was a mistake too. They should have held off a year before and made ECW a thorn in the sides of both WWE Raw and WCW SmackDown. Make the ECW guys so crazy that WCW & WWE have to work together to beat them.

WCW invasion was very successful, if you define success as "Making WCW look like a grossly inferior product to the WWF, thus throwing away potential truckloads of money". Also making it a whole McMahon soap opera really blew as well. Ah well 20/20 hindsight and all....still wish ROss would come out and replace Cole or Grisham.
There is a fine line between the peak and the lowest. WWF was at an all-time low in the early 90's and they turned it around pretty damn fast from 96-2002 or 2003.
The WWE has again reached a low point here in the 2009-2010 area but it can just as easily turn it around as the past has shown.
WCW was weak in the invasion angle, Booker T was the only credible person they had, WCW Main Eventer DDP was buried by The Undertaker for not taking flat back bumps on house shows to which he would never recover, RVD was a break out star but they never went all the way with him. It would have made more sense for former WCW talent like Jericho, Benoit & Big Show to defect to WCW so they at least looked like a credible threat.
@tankdogg937 What are you on about? They made RVD WWE Champion some 5 i repeat 5 years after the WCW/ECW/Alliance invasion storyline ended. RVD was white hot in 2001, the fans were behind him & they had been crying out for someone new to get behind but the WWE after teasing him as a Main Eventer put him in the midcard for the next 5 years (excluding his 1 month feud with HHH in Sep 02). By the way Foley, Jericho, Benoit, Eddie Guerreuo & Mysterio were in ECW & won the Title before RVD.

Great interview.
WCW invasion was very successful, if you define success as "Making WCW look like a grossly inferior product to the WWF, thus throwing away potential truckloads of money". Also making it a whole McMahon soap opera really blew as well. Ah well 20/20 hindsight and all....still wish ROss would come out and replace Cole or Grisham.

There is a fine line between the peak and the lowest. WWF was at an all-time low in the early 90's and they turned it around pretty damn fast from 96-2002 or 2003.
The WWE has again reached a low point here in the 2009-2010 area but it can just as easily turn it around as the past has shown.

WCW was weak in the invasion angle, Booker T was the only credible person they had, WCW Main Eventer DDP was buried by The Undertaker for not taking flat back bumps on house shows to which he would never recover, RVD was a break out star but they never went all the way with him. It would have made more sense for former WCW talent like Jericho, Benoit & Big Show to defect to WCW so they at least looked like a credible threat.

@tankdogg937 What are you on about? They made RVD WWE Champion some 5 i repeat 5 years after the WCW/ECW/Alliance invasion storyline ended. RVD was white hot in 2001, the fans were behind him & they had been crying out for someone new to get behind but the WWE after teasing him as a Main Eventer put him in the midcard for the next 5 years (excluding his 1 month feud with HHH in Sep 02). By the way Foley, Jericho, Benoit, Eddie Guerreuo & Mysterio were in ECW & won the Title before RVD.
