" Gosh, John must smiling right about now, the out pouring of love, honor,& respect
from so many of his fans is awesome!" I guess my friend touched so many lives. That's the Pinnacle every musician can hope for! And ,THANK YOU for this posting.
@deyenloner Thanks for your comment deyenloner! This is a fun piece to play as it starts out slow and each verse increases in tempo thereby capturing the listeners attention. Open G, lap style of course!
I transcribed this piece one summer afternoon in Yellow Springs, Ohio; not too far from where I live.
@slubberde 'Hey slubberde, when it comes to John Fahey's fans & friends, there's only one thing that could be said, the best people with the best hearts seem to gather around the music! Be well, and if you find some more goddies....what more can I say? Ciao for now friend.
maybe a stupid question, but then you must be John F. right ?! Well...this is my kinda slide, i guess, ...love this !!! You're sayin' not very difficult, but not that easy also, haha...
Fahey imploys a stock in trade in this lap piece as he starts out very slow and keeps increasing the tempo as the piece progresses thereby grabbing your attention subliminally! What an artist he was!

I thought you might like it, Kurt. I play this song as it really is not very difficult, open G; lap style.
Thanks for your comment from Belgium!

I love the 'Railroads' album. It was unavailable for a long time but re-released, I bought my copy from Amazon 2 years ago.

Oh, that remembers me on "Crossroad Blues". Wonderful tune! And rare too, because there is not so much bottleneck guitar by JF.
Great, thank you!
