Then how do you know what parts of the bible should be considered metaphor and what parts are to be taken literal? For instance the global flood. 200 years ago was to be taken literally. Now all the sudden since techniques like carbon dating, fossil evidence, and examining soil profiles has proven this COMPLETELY false, it is to be taken metaphorically. It seems the more scientific we as humans get, the more metphorical the bible gets.

Scientifically there is not enough water on the planet to completely submerge it. The Fossil record shows no evidence of a extinction that massive, how would all the fresh water fish survive a world covered in seawater? Certain isotopes are created under water; these isotopes would be spread worldwide but are not.
So basically because you have an extremely limited education you blame things on god, that makes allot of sense actually. Just so you know, you don' have to be a science genius to understand that simple concepts like fresh water fish can't live in salt water, that landscapes like sub-tropic deserts and forest couldn't exist along with a global flood, or the lack of abundant aquatic isotopes EVERYWHERE proves no global flood occurred.

@Pooverse : That's more or less a metaphor, comparing Jesus to a prince riding in on his white horse to rescue the damsel in distress (aka us) and whisk her away to his castle (aka Heaven). Stereotypical, I know, but a good analogy.

Then how do you know what parts of the bible should be considered metaphor and what parts are to be taken literal? For instance the global flood. 200 years ago was to be taken literally. Now all the sudden since techniques like carbon dating, fossil evidence, and examining soil profiles has proven this COMPLETELY false, it is to be taken metaphorically. It seems the more scientific we as humans get, the more metphorical the bible gets.

@SummerSunshine1988 I just gave you three scientific methods that do prove the global flood to be false. Soil profiles from around the world show ZERO evidence of a global flood. Scientifically there is not enough water on the planet to completely submerge it. The Fossil record shows no evidence of a extinction that massive, how would all the fresh water fish survive a world covered in seawater? Certain isotopes are created under water; these isotopes would be spread worldwide but are not.

So basically because you have an extremely limited education you blame things on god, that makes allot of sense actually. Just so you know, you don' have to be a science genius to understand that simple concepts like fresh water fish can't live in salt water, that landscapes like sub-tropic deserts and forest couldn't exist along with a global flood, or the lack of abundant aquatic isotopes EVERYWHERE proves no global flood occurred.

You can believe in god, I'm not an athiest. But the bible is a book of fairy tales and propaganda that is constantly proven wrong on multiple levels by a simple understanding of ancient history, geology, and logic.
I hate the stigma that without your precious bible, the idea of God is dead. You can still believe in the big bang (which also has blatantly obvious proof)and god at the same time. It's called being a deist. Einstein was one.The bible is just outdated now.

Satan would like for you to think that this is just a joke but the fact of the matter is that in reality Jesus suffered much more than what this video could ever really allow us to see and I as a Christian am very sadden that I as a sinner had a part in causing him so much pain!! Jesus died for all sin. For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only Son....yes He loves them, but not what they do. That is why Jesus came to this earth, so that we no longer have to live in our sins. The real question you should ask is why did He die for you? You and me are just as guilty as a rapist or murderes of breaking His law. If you break one you are guilty of breaking all of them. God loves every person and wills none to perish. Why does Jesus love any of us? It is an amazing love
