Thank you kindly, EastKeswick1. It's a Yamaha CGX-111SCA guitar, and I have a Roland Edirol portable digital recorder. Also, I recently got a Cube Street amp & use it for practicing - it has a plugin for both mic & guitar, and I'm finding it helps me to hear myself better - but I haven't had time to figure out how to record with it yet.
