warhawks wrestling. in maryland. just came back from a clinic today. he moved up from florida to be closer to his son who currently goes to the naval academy. so he'll be here for a while.
In 1969 Wade Schalles of Hollidaysburg High School, PA used an elevation and throw from the bottom to pin John (Bimbo) Chatman of Trinity HS, winning the 154 lb PIAA title. John had been 120-0 dating back to the fourth grade. He was never the same.
PA HS wrestling has seen nothing like this bout since. Also, it was the only time Wade placed at states!
