I agree that the composition of this song is extra ordinary but the song has more powerful aspect of Lyrics. The words that Sahir Saab had created are on both the sides of the life aspects...the one sung by Sudhaji is purely a submission in love and that of Mukeshji is also the love but for whole world. Only Sahir saab can do this....I listent to this song many times just for the lyrics. Hats off to Great Poet Sahir Ludhyanvi ji.....

What more flexibility a man could ask for?? Well said. I believe one understands that is easier said than done. She is in love beyond reason and logic and he is being practical and socialist at her expense. There would be very few to have that level integrity to one's emotions, cause or purpose. Beautiful song and exceptional rendition though and beautifully shot considering the available techniques at that point in time. Thank you.
