Hallo Roman, danke für die lieben Worte. Du hast recht. J.Rush hat es zuerst gesungen und ja sogar mitgeschrieben. Ich hab auch noch die LP. Ich hatte das hier nach einem Celine Dion Konzert gesungen und die hat auch die berühmtere Version. Mir gefällt die von Rush aber besser. Danke, daß du auch meine Version angehört hast. LG André :-)

this is NOT Celine's song. This song is from matchless Jennifer Rush aka Heidi Stern, she also wrote the text in 1984. Celine has covered it in 1994 and what an irony: while Jenny didn't reach any US top rank, Celine got prime US rank ! Also unforgettable Laura Branigan covered Jennys song in 1992 and had had an exceptional rank on US charts then.

I love your interpretation more then Celine's one. Greetings to my beloved Berlin, especially to Bleibtreustraße ...

Thank you very much. I was just seeing your comment, so I guess you´re still online. Well, I know "Air Supply" sang the song 20 years ago, too. Though it´s a song for a female voice. I tried my best, sang classically, because it´s so tough. I see, you´re a Jennifer Rush fan. She has the perfect voice for that song. It´s hers anyways. :-)

i haven't heard the air supply version. as for jennifer rush, i liked her rendition of 'the power of love', unfortunately i am not too familiar with her other songs. she has an amazing voice still. i also like laura branigan's take on the track as well.

Ooops. I´ve just recognized you comment. It wasn´t brought to me. You´re right J. Rush´s voice is still great. She is classy. Though I don´t like her looks nowadays. She´s done something with her face and lips. But she has a fantastic technique and brilliant voice. Branigan too?

I´ve listened to it. Great. Sounds great. She also sang "Forever young" that I will try myself soon. So sad, that she died so young. Oh, it´s a shame. Thanks for the hint. :-)
