I'm sure because the show was aimed for a younger audience, that they didn't touch on this, but seeing as space is essentially a vacuum, and a human (or ape) body would naturally implode within the first couple seconds of being caught in space without a suit, does anyone know if they ever brought back the character and gave him an improbable story as to how he "survived"? Or did they just leave it so you assumed he was dead?

Never thought much of Doomsday. He was little more than a personality bereft plot device the writers whipped up to kill Superman, and he didn't manage that properly. Still, the cartoon did a good job by making him sentient.

Personally I preffer Doomsday in the cartoon as he had a personality, and it seemed to me in the comics he was just a plot device they whipped up to kill Superman, just my opinion though...

I thought the cartoon made Doomsday a lot more intresting as he was sentitent, meaning his fight with Supes on the volcano had a much more personal element. Superman Doomsdayt would have been a lot more intense had hey had a sentient Doomsday in the battle.
