  • Nice vids! I hope your pigeon is doing great! It would be nice to see some updates. You are very natural in front of the camera.

  • feed it alka seltzer

  • Terry, you rock. Thanks for an acutal USABLE video on feeding for those of us afraid of drowning our babies!

  • Hello,

For those of you watching this ALSO check out "Pavlovafowl" her comments are below this and she has a very SIMPLE way to feed her bird also. VERY NICE INFO!

  • @RotorMedic7 You need to make a new vid about how her being grown :3

  • My pigeons eat a lot of oyster shell, particularly when they are feeding young. If you are not near the sea or a restaurant that could give you the shells, mix some sesame seeds into her food To absorb this calcium birds need Vitamin D so Penny needs to get out and get some rays for at least 20 minutes per day. Also if you put her down on the ground she will automatically start pecking in the grass - she needs vegetation and little stones to get her digestion going. You are doing a great job!

  • Awww I can't wait till my baby pigeon hatches!!!! :D

  • Good info fella, I was given a baby wood pigeon by my neighbour that had been abandoned for over a day, Now feeding much easier since watching your posting, Bird is doing very well thanks to you, regards from the UK.

  • Forget that Micky it's meant to say mix it

  • Just mix one tablespoon of bread crumbs and one table spoon of warm water Micky and that's pigeon food enough for one little baby

  • Baby pigeons that age are called "squeakers" since that's the noise they make (I have 25 Rollers and have hand feed at least 10 of them). This is great information as I began feeding them by forcing food into their mouths. This works ONLY if you find the right path to the crop. If not, death. This is a better way since this is how they naturally eat from their parents. I have used the Kaytee food and it works great; stinks but works.

  • @klbcn Thank you for the information. ;)
