whats the song called that plays during the scene when andy is telling red to go to the place where something will be buried? and they were sitting outside
when the music swells at 2:59 , is one of my favourite memories of the film. it's like a special place to go to, just that moment. i believe it's the wide shot of Red walking up the hill to the tree.
btw, does anyone notice the similarity of this soundtrack by thomas newman, and his brother david's soundtrack to the film Serenity?
"Forty years i've been asking persmission to piss. I can't squeeze a drop without said so. There's a harsh truth to face. No way I'm gonna make it on the outside.
All i do in the more is think of ways to break my parole, so maybe they'd send me back.
Terrible thing to live in fear. Brooks Hatlen knew it, knew it all to well. All i want is to be back where things make sense, where i dont have to be afraid all the time. Only one thing stops me, a promise i made to Andy..."
"Up by a road in Buxton, Maine, there's a wall. Follow the old stone wall to the cherry tree. Among all the rocks at it's base is one that has no earthly business being there. Look under that rock."
I agree..1.50:2.35 is so beautiful it almost makes me cry. I remember this part in the movie. It's when Red is out and arrives at Buxton to discover what Andy has left him under the rock and it's my favourite music on the soundtrack. God I love this movie!!
something I wanna play when the peaceful aliens arrive.

Every time I listen to this I cry - It's too beautiful. I get taken far away, to a place I can never go... that's why I cry. Thomas Newman <3 genius

Favourite music in the whole movie. Really drives the atmosphere in the scene where Andy talks about the Hayfield in Buxton.
