People - calm down. I just don't understand...hes literally painted the buttons and outer case, then put some LED's inside it. Oh, and lets not forget slapping the sticker on the front. It would cost you like 5 bucks to do the mod, and getting hold of the old model DS is surely cheap as hell too.

@THchamp3 1. DS's did NOT come in the inside plastic's color, so he had to polish it himself.

2. There are many fake Hori Screen Protectors on eBay.

3. FEW?! LOL, you wish.

4. The Lights are taking power off of the battery, so when the DS is on it's highest setting with those lights, it will drain about 20 percent of your battery than normal, and that is NOT an exaggeration.

I really wouldn't mind seeing a tutorial on how to mod a GBC or any other cartridge to have LEDs that light up once the unit is powered on. It'd be a great weekend project for me! Don't know how to solder to save my life, but I have enough old GBC games that it's alright if I break one or two. I'll just practice on some old ones until I get good enough to mod my copy of Pokemon Crystal. =P

I used a DS Phat because when this vid was made, it was not that old yet. Plus, I did it because I had a spare one lying around.

And I did N64 themed because it is the best console evar!

I mean go back to n64, and the best console of it's generation was te psx, that bringed titles like resident evil, gta, final fantasy, tomb raider, Crash bandicoot, fear effect 1&2, etc... NIntendo only had mario back then xD

The PSX was nice, but I still liked the N64 better. Sure, there were "more" good games on PSX, but how many people actually had all of them? The N64 had Super Smash Bros, Mario 64, Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda OOT and MM, Starfox, Pokemon Stadium 1/2, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong, Banjo Kazooie, Road Rash, and a few other classics. All of those were fantastic games, and they stuck with me a lot more than PSX games did.
