Actually, id imagine him knowing the clutch and car well, he is just compensating with some slip, to get more to the ground.

It wheelspin because he didn't change gear properly. It's a lot of power, you need to handle it right.

It spins because he didn't use the proper tractioncontrol; M Dynamic.

M Dynamic mode will actually cause the wheel to spin more, with DSC completely on, the power will reduce the instant the ecu detects that the wheels are slipping

MDM allows the car to have the perfect balance of slippage and non-slippage during hard acceleration. With traction control on, the power is reigned in by the ECU as soon as it detects tire slip. With traction control off, the tires are slipping and not achieving grip, thus not achieving the desired acceleration. Or something like that.
