alot of people say that eddie hazel was the best guitarist for parliament. well he was the innovator or creator of that sound with his own distict sound,but I would have to say solo wise Micheal Hampton was by far the best and fastest of the guitarist. glenn kinda had the best chord structure,gary innovated his own sound by using a banjo type structure.

Well, that's debatable. Urban Dancefloor Guerillas, The Electric Spanking Of War Babies, and T.A.P.O.A.F.O.M. represent some of the best albums in the discography. They can hold toe to toe with the best of what P-Funk released in the seventies.

@regvision-So do a lot of albums in discography, as well as the early Funkadelic Westbound albums. And before you go on to make other baseless assumptions, I've been archiving P-Funk since 1978 and I served as the consultant on that P-Funk documentary that is currently only available on YouTube, as well as two other televised documentaries. In fact, you might want to check the credits of some of the P-Funk CD's in your collection, because you'll find my name there as well.

Garry Shider definitely knew that he had brain and lung cancer. He was fully informed of his diagnosis. I think it would also be wise not to try and run with half truths and hearsay and then try to pass it off as facts. Parliament/Funkadelic is also one of my favorite bands of all-time. I first got turned on to them in 1973 on the "Cosmic Slop" album when I was 9 and followed them all through my teens. I went to the '77, '78and '79 concerts and have all the P-Funk, Bootsy, Brides, Parlet and Horny Horn albums on CD now!--Kids today need to know about them! They were so original and ahead of their time!
