This just proves how legit the crop circle is. Those are the two most subjective reasons ever why he claims it is "impossible". What a moran. First of all, what is "chemically impossible"? That they have more complex DNA or are pointing out that humans are made of silica? Second, of course they would make the message public instead of sending it privately to the radio telescope. Third, I think crop circles make a much clearer message than radio waves. Obviously, either way is easy for them.

Actually I think it's quite probable for them to choose a field to reply. If they handed us a book or a radio signal, it could be hidden by whomever received it. The medium had to be a public message, one that everyone could see.

As to the message not being scientifically correct, that might be true. Though it's possible the aliens misunderstood certain parts of the message and just reponded with what they think we said.

I disagree with prof. Drake when he says agroglyphs would not be the right medium to respond to his original message. If aliens existed and were as intelligent as us, to let us know they exist would they be so naive to deliver a message in a form understandable by a limited number of scientists and military? They would keep the message confidential. Crop circles are visible to everyone, and are rather popular. The nearness of the agroglyph to a radiotelescope seems rather baffling.
