I am a massive Weddoes fan and i love listening to these versions, i am envious, wish i had the talent to do the same. One day you will get the call to fill in for DLG, stay by the phone!!!
Totally agree tarhee, they should have stayed away from steve harley though. His version has always been the best, mind you cant see gedge doing "mr soft" :P
Ha ha. They do a few slow but beautiful songs..."Big Rat" is probably the slowest song that I have covered here. If you can find Susanne's profile "soomcw" there is a secretstrummer-inspired video for it there entitled love-guilt song. Cheers Ralph.
Have enjoyed all your renditions. Love this song. However do like Octopussy. Great strumming crescendo at the end. An oft overlooked classic. Could you manage this one?? Will be at ULU with many other non students in Nov. Can't wait!
Well thanks for your kind words! Octopussy is, I agree, a fantastic song. Not sure how it translates to an acoustic guitar...Must give it a go! Why not come to Koko in October? Should be a great night!
I missed my second-hand WP fix courtesy of you on hols. Sounds very good again - of course i've still not listened to seamonsters properly. Couldn't find my mp3 till last minute before the hols so couldn't load it or Torino and then managed to drop said mp3 halfway thru first week breaking it. Hey ho. Nice song though ;o)
Excuses excuses...You know that this is now bordering on "Psychotic Wedding Present Avoidance" or PWPA. Seen it before. Not a nice condition...Welcome back though and looking forward to your next song. I'm guessing it will be an upbeat number about Edwynn Collins really being back? Cheers David 8)
Just seen this one. I love Dare and this is a very good rendition - but I missed the guitar climax at the end. Come on Mat, you know you can do it ...... !
Hi J33B. Welcome back. The guitar climax you say....Hmmmm.....Well I could try rigging up my Black & Decker drill on a foot operated switch...It may just work....Cheers!
Of course you can do it....... You proved it with Kennedy. My next request is my 2nd most-played track : (The moment Before) Everything Spoiled Again. PLEASE !!!

Crikey Matt! Do the wedding present make any slow numbers? Even though I know nothing about them I recognise your passion and this sounds great!
