  • thanks!

  • this really helped me alot. thanks

  • glad to help

  • I started playing 12 months ago and can rattle out some cracking rock riffs but skipped out the basics therefore i dont understand what is happening when i am playing.

your little clip is great and easy to following and has gave me a good understanding of whats going on.

    Cheers

  • hey thats great and i am glad to help you out, take care

  • LOL! i need to watch your video 3x before i understand what u try to implement. but it is better than me watching the other videos not even understanding. thanks alot!! nice bed btw ~

  • hey there, yeah its a lot to comprehend on the first time through, but stick with it and it will improve your playing greatly

  • what do you mean when you say "bar across"?

I just started, so sorry if this is a stupid question.

    haha.

    thanks.

    (:

  • barre across means take your pointer finger and hold down all the strings

  • thanks a lot for the lesson, i started playing 2 months ago and had no idea that chords wer movable, i knew that there wer notes on the guitar but didnt know you could bar chords and move them.

    Thanks Again.

  • hey glad to help you out, take care, make sure to check out the website on christmas day

  • hey, i'm pretty new to guitar and i've been practicing barre chords but everytime i play a barre chord for a couple of minutes straight, i get hand cramps. is that common for newbies or is my positioning wrong?

  • hey that is common, as you keep practicing it your hand and forearm will strengthen and that will go away, but its important to keep practicing that, your positioning is fine i am sure

  • this video is great, i've been avoiding trying to learn barre chords but this video definately helped.

  • haha dont avoid them, i used to them i realized once you learn them it makes every chord easier

  • haa thanks :)

  • nice vid...but why do you sometimes go 2 steps to get a D and only one step to get a C i don't really get that?????pls help

  • im not sure what you mean, the D is two frets or a full step about the C

  • hey (my name is Aaron too btw) i think ipodmanischen means why there are some notes that don't have flats in between. I might be mistaken though. oh and thank you for the video i am an intermediate player (i already new barre chords) and i thought finding notes on a string was so hard, but then you said its like the alphabet and BANG i got it. I can't believe i didn't catch that! thanx!!

  • hey i just now saw ipods comment and i responded to it, check it out, glad to help you out, take care

    aaron

  • hey, there are 12 notes in the scale from any note to another before it repeats so you use the letters A-G, for some reason though there is only a half step between B and C and between E and F, so the twelve notes are A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# then you would repeat, you also could use flats instead of sharps, A# and Bb are the same note, so that way it would be A Bb B C Db D Eb E F Gb G Ab then repeat back to A

  • hey, great vid man, it sure helps alot. what do you do for your job? it seems like it takes you to alot of places.

  • i work with pharmecuetical companies, unviversities, and conracting labs in their analytical chemistry labs, so i travel around a lot since they are spread out in big cities

  • Good video...another good idea, I think would be to go over scales...pent and majors.

  • sure thing, thanks for the comment

  • Best guitar lesson. The alphabet lesson is grate. Thx man and keep doing it cose you're good

  • thanks a lot, this is one of the best things to learn as you learn guitar because it helps with the concepts and once you understand it its easy to remember, take care and thanks for the comment

  • what can I do for when I do drop D tuning to not break my string cuz I keep breaking

  • hey man, your low E string should never break if you are tuning down to dropped D, are you sure you arent trying to tune up? not trying to be a smartellic just trying to figure out whats goin on

  • wow, i feel like i just ripped you off man, that helped out a lot, you should definately be gettin payed for this

  • haha, nah don't worry, i dont mind, glad to help though, thats what its all about

  • wow! you are now my favourite person ;]
