I have been to many of my non-Asian friends' houses and all of them walk around the house with shoes on, some of those friends even go on the bed/sleep with them on. And when I've been to all of my Asian friends houses, we need to take off our shoes. I don't get it at all. Why would you want to make your house all dirty from shoes you've worn the whole day?

But in this current stage..most westerners have had a stable up bringing, they don't come from poverty like most Asian countries, therefore they become more layed back. Asians on the other hand, coming out of poor countries in Asia still have the, work hard, get a good job, get money attitude.
