right, thats why this guy was detained for years away from his family without the ability to contact his lawyer or defend himself

You see in the UK we don't have this stupid law, which is why we do not want to loose our Habias Corpus. Our system is better as your innocent till proved guilty, unlike the rest of the EU where you have to prove your innocence!
