Five min Epoxy works well, but you must score and sand the parts first to get a good bond or other wise the Epoxy just pops off the plastic. Everything should be dry fitted first after cleaning off the flash and ejector pin marks. If five min Epoxy is too fast, there is 30 min Epoxy that gives you more time and fills any gaps. Using regular airplane glue does not work very well because it can soften the plastic. Getting the block aligned right is the hardest part of the assembly process.
Check to see if your Visible V8 is made in China, If so, the nuts and screws are metric and will not fit right in some locations. Best to get 2-56 screws and nuts from a hard ware store. Don't use Vegetable oil for lubrication as the instructions tell you to do or you will gum up your engine to the point of trashing it out. The black and Grey plastic from China is different than the American or German made kits. I would use La Bell made for plastic, lubricating oil. Good luck with your kit.

Yeah, they can be a PITA the first time. The Visible V8 DVD on E bay is a great help for the first timer. $20 bucks well spent.
