the ending of every cold case episode is heartbreaking. i cried so many times watching this show. it's a great concept. the dead finally getting justice. and the way they 'move on' at the end.
A woman named Martha meets Ramone, a con artist through a video dating service. She thinks they are happily in love until one of Ramone's ex's warns her about him. When Martha learns the truth about Ramone, rather than lose him, she offers to help him con more women by marrying them, and killing them. But when she fears for her life, she decides to "..get him before he gets me". However, she makes the mistake of trusting Ramone's ex in handling a gun.
I like when Morris at the end of each episode wink both eyes like as if she felt some love or compassion or something... i love it... she seems very happy person as i saw her in some video-interviews...
I dedicate the song "Alone" to all the Cold Case Detectives throughout the world, or the United States, that even though CBS 'closed cased' the series may the "REAL" Cold Case Detectives persevere, bring closure to victims thought to be forgotten, and the criminals brought to justice. (Yes, I cried at the ending too... *snif*)
merci pour cete vidéo. Je suis fan de cette série, et les thèmes musicaux qu'elle emploie sont souvent trés émouvants.... (thanks so much for this video, very fond of "cold case" and nearly all af the songs used especially for the endings,... so emotional!) So sad you will never get any "cold case" on video, precisely because of the music! apparently it would cost too much, due to the copyrights huge amounts of money, what a pity...
this was one episode I could relate to sorta. I knew what its like to be a big girl and not seems to have much luck with the fellas, this song haunted me when I first saw it I use to read love novels when I was a teen and day dream about prince charming.so I could relate.Seems like the "killers" on cold case are always the best friend, the only person you'd dont suspect lol
Actually I did'nt think this episode was as good as some others. But an appropriate song. "Strange Fruit, Churchgoing People, The Badlands, Best Friends Forever Blue" where some of the best. (amongst others)
este episodio es cuando la gorda con lentes mato con su marido a varias personas todo por amor pero luego la ex del hombre mata ala cuatro ojos por que le queria mucho triste cada historia de cold case T.T !
Amazing ending - also be sure to check out (here you YT) the version of this song sung by Tracie Thoms (aka Detective Miller) - she's incredibly multi-talented!
@XxxBLEDSOExxX sorry but not any episode is available! or.... would France be such a non-developped country? lol... however, I wish I was wrong, and if ever you're right, please telle me how to get them, no matter how it costs!!!!!!!
I read about what's in store for Season 7 and they said they are going back to basics. Lily was a real hard ass back then and the rest of them will follow her lead. I loved seasons 1-4, 5 was ok, but 6 was a bit off for me, but nevertheless, I still love the show. They need to put them on DVD already!!
It's too bad this doesn't show the final image of the episode when the credits roll. It's a shot of Martha's video on tv in Raymondo's appartment with blood splattered all over it.
It's one of the most chilling images I've ever seen in a tv show and really sums up the episode well.
hi,im looking for a song that came out in 1968 which was played in one
of the cold case episodes, the episodes was about a young lady who got thrown down the stairs and died while attending a wedding, in the end they found out it was her boyfriend who did it.
Publishers should stop being so greedy about licensing rights. If they agreed to license their music to be in the aired episode, they also should do that for the DVD.
This episode was on last night. It is based on a true story ( like a lot of them). Great episode.
Raymond Fernandez and his common-law wife Martha Beck became known as "The Lonely Hearts Killers" after their arrest and trial for serial murder in 1949. Between 1947 and 1949 they are believed to have killed as many as 20 women. The 1970 movie The Honeymoon Killers, the 1996 movie Deep Crimson, the 2006 movie Lonely Hearts, and an episode of the TV series Cold Case were all based on this case.
Thanks for the info. I know the RHPS episode is framed after Coral Watts. Too many episodes deal with individual real life cases, but considering the serial killer cases they have aired do you have info as to who George in Mindhunters or the african american killer they had dumping children in refrigerators are meant to be (sorry I don't recall the name of that episode). And before it is said, I do realize that Rampage is based on Columbine but that is a mass murder,I see that comment coming.THX
Yeah it's pretty obvious Rampage is based off the Columbine incident. Even the weapons used by the killers in the episode (An intratec DC9 and a compact shotgun) were even the same as the ones used at Columbine.
If its based on real life, it's more of an obscure case. The Atlanta child murderer, to my knowledge, never put anyone in a refrigerator. Also, he was never tried for the mass majority of those murders. He was just a black man who supposedly was linked to some cases but as far as I am aware was tried in only in the last two. He may be the inspiration but I think it's a far stretch since the only link is a black killer and black child victims. Plz refer to my last comment for all new viewers THX
hahaha sh*t my comment was wrong.. my bad.. i thought this episode was about the girl who almost killed her child who spend the last days of her life in a mental hospital.. hehe sorry.. but i like this episode.. the guy really loved the girl.. its a waste that the girl just thought of it as a trap...
What really makes it interesting is that the victim is a con artists and a murderer. Yet at the end of the show, you still feel bad for her and her relationship with her murdering partner seems like a touching story.
I thought this episode was really good. It's not every week that Cold Case features a victim who is also a murderer. That made the show a lot more interesting, showing that even killers have a humane side.
ok that really sucks....didnt they know that b4 they decided to use differenbt songs for each ending now i people will never be able to own the seasons of cold case
Yeah, but without the music it would be different, it's a part of the recreation of the atmosphere of the time and this is a point that makes CC so unique.
oh yeah i def agree with that i wasn't saying they shouldn't put the music on there because of that i was saying they could have gotten permission to use the songs before put them to the episodes
ITA, I can't imagine CC without their amazing use of music! it sucks for the fans about the lack of DVDs, but I think it's a big part of why CC rocks the way it does :)
right.and i guess, the crew of cc got some music spezialsts who choose the right track for the right scene.they are doing allways a good job with the music.
Apparantly, they can't release Cold Case on DVD without the permission for the artists of all the songs they used in all episodes. That's a lot of artists.
Yes, and for this show, it would really suck. The songs are an integral part of the flashbacks and final montage. To replace them with generic music would be a travesty.
