I've got blond hair, but brown mascara looks AWFUL on me, but black looks really good
you just said something about it in your video that blonds and red heads should wear brown or something but brown mascara looks really weird next to my hair
Hey! I had a quick question. I'm like a really light olive skin tone, & I've been looking for the perfect blush that gives me just like a real cute flushed look. Any recommendations? I have Mocha & I really don't like it, cause it's too dark for me!
I absolutely loved this vid!! It is totally helpful to a new makeup addict like me..
Koren, I have a question and I do hope you can help me with it.
I am olive-skinned (at the darker toned side; kinda like Nicole Scherzinger of PCD I think). I was wondering if you would recommend for people like me to wear bronzers? I have oily skin so I'm worried that it may highlight the shininess if I do use it. Your answer would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
RE-Bonjour Enkore, I look at you honey and i can't help but wonder what you would look like with make up on like a woman, I bet you would be a knock out hey? do you have any video like this? no disrespect intended Enkore, I think you are just awsome and adorable
Enkore if your a begginer and looking for shadows is it better to buy single shadows or a pallete? Btw thank you for all the great tips! Huge difference in effect. =)
In this video you talk about checking out your video on brushes to see the brushes to use. Which one are you refering to? Could you just do a part 3 to the starter kit videos that covers your recommened brushes and stuff to use to apply your make-up that you should have when you are starting out with make-up
i have and i really liked it because it wasnt cakey at all and it lasts a while i bought mine like ill say about 3 or 4 months ago and i still have alot left i apply it with a damp sponge by the way it makes it more like real skin
I use to use covergirl mascara..but then I got the lancome mascara and I love it...the covergirl lashblast is wayyyy to hard to remove with makeup remover..not all of it comes off ...and takes forever too..Id get lancome OR Urban decay big fatty mascara..I use that now and im addicted...you can get the travel size of that at Ulta for 9 bucks so itsvup to you..
hey there! kinda dumb question..is there a "right" or "wrong" color to blush to wear with makeup? like what do you match it with your eyesshadow? so when would you were a pink vs a plum vs a peach toned blush? soo comfused!!
no right or wrong on that --- but, much like lipstick color, you find your right shade of blush. One color can look great on one person, but that doesnt mean it will also look great on another. Trend these days is if you do more work on the eyes, you want subtle colors on the lips and cheeks so that the attention is drawn to the eyes.
I have a question that may sound a little silly, but i heard that when you use lipliner sometimes all of your lip stick or lip gloss rubs off and then your left with just the lip liner. Is that true? or, does that only happen if u have like the wrong shade or something?
But hey, thank you for the starter kit ideas! I havent worn much makeup before, so it really helps a first time user like me! Having an Enkore video marathon tonight, lol!
That can happen sometimes, but that's what touch-ups are for! To avoid the ring though, fill in your whole lip with your liner as a base for your lipstick. This way, when your lipstick or gloss wears away, you'll still have some color on your lips.
hello EnKore!! Thanks so much I learned a lot from the basic starter kit. Wow you are the greatest. Thanks for imparting your knowledge. God Bless You!
I noticed Flirt in your video. I use this brand and it's good for the money. Have you done a video using Flirt or American Beauty? I have been using MAC for many years, but I'm not addicted to it. I only use Studio Fix because that's what I'm used to. I need to branch out and try new things and your videos are helping me with that. I live in Vegas and I would spend about $20-$40 once a month playing pennies. Now I spend it on makeup!!!!! Thanks
How do we clean the brushes after makeup? My skin is very dry and at times after applyin liquid foundation those dry areas especially area around the nose looks a little worn out. I always moisturize before apply a foundation. I am using Revlon's liquid foundation. Please advise.
Hey you mentioned primer for your eyes. I have heard it many times. I'm kind of lazy to buy it (cuz i cheap cosmetics like covergirl). So what could i use to substitute primer? I've used foundation or concealer, is that okay?
hey koren, what mascara in your opinion is the best? i tend to have oily skin so most mascaras i use smudge under my eyes..any suggestions? btw, your videos are awesome!
I am having a similar problem to gripfastMic. I am African American...golden kind of orangy toned and I have no idea about which blushes I should wear. Also, I woiuld like to add more definition to my cheekbones with a contour and highlight, but I only know that the contour shade should be about 2 tones darker than your skin.
NEways, love ur vids!! Very Informative as always! Thanks!!
hey Peace - what i usually do with african american darker tone, is I use their natural color as the contour, and use a lighter color to emphasize the highlights. So try that, leave the contoured area your skin color and work on highlighting more to make your features pop.
Ya know, when I do my brows, I define the bottom of my brow with dipdown fluidline and then fill in the hair of my brows with espresso shadow. Have you tried using fluidline to define brows? It' gives you that perfect, sharply defined arch. Also, since fluidline is so longwearing, it really keeps the powder on.
Look at me, pretending to give advice to an expert, hahahaha.
Your videos are amazing by the way. Keep it up! I love watching your tutorials!
Your The BOMB, I spent my whole sunday watching your videos and there so helpful for an aspiring MUA as my self, you give so much info and your doing it fo FREE!!! Do you accept tips ! LOL :)

hey there! I was wondering if you could purchase the (15 well) pallette's at the mac store? Like the one for all the eyeshadows that you mentioned in Part 1 of this video.
yeah I mark them so that when I do backstage gigs with other makeup artists, I know which ones are mine. I use CAR detailing stickers that you buy from Auto Zone. They really stick well, and are waterproof.
Hi, I dont know if you have done a video on Eyebrow's I have tried to catch up on your video's. I did see the one where you showed how to make your eyebrows look trimed. Do you have one ho to make your eyebrows look natural. I cant do it it looks like I drawed them on. I keep hearing about dashes and checks. I need visual... Im sorry HELP thanks
uno question: How are the primers comparable? I've tried shade sticks, paints and paint pots, prep +prime eye, but i've yet to try udpp. is one better than the others? because I've not getting the staying power i'm lookig for (my eye lids are incredibly greasy, and wrinkly=(
hi mignone - UDPP is far the best, well, actually theres another one that is overlooked that is just as good, or even better. It's called Eye Insurance by Too Faced makeup. its $17 for a little bitty tube, but its GREAT stuff. Check it out when you get a chance!
hey :) i was wondering if you know any mascaras that would give length + volume to super short (and i mean super short!) eyelashes? thanks :) keep up the frigging awesome videos!
hi Paulette - you either look into a nude colored lipstick that matches your skin tone. OR you can check out Lip Erase but its only available in the Pro line. I reviewed that product in my Nudes, Shapers, Lip Erase Video. Check it out. Regarding your lashes, Most Mascaras have lash conditioners built in. So as long as you are applying mascara after you curl, you're ok.
MAC, Ben Nye, Kryolan are the most pigmented as they are Theatrical Grade cosmetic brand. For drugstore brands, I find Nyx and HIP L'Oreal to be high pigmented as well, but texture are not as smooth and creamlike.
hey tstgirl - msfs are mineralized powder that are baked solid in dome shape compacts. Beauty Powders are pressed shimmer talcum powder with more coverage of which some can be used as blushes, and irridescent powder are sheer shimmer powders great for blotting/setting.
i love your vids! they help me out of the overly-makeup'd rut i live in. xD
my eyeliner/mascara [i've yet to figure out which] likes to smudge under my eye throughout the day, making my makeup look *terrible*. would the urban decay primer help with that?
you can downplay your lips by avoiding using deep lipliner colors. Try pinks/rosy colors, and gloss is best. The darker your lips, the fuller it looks. So light colors is best.

Hi Koren!! love ur tuts!! Im definatley going to buy studio fix as mentioned in part one... you also hinted of a future video on this? Perleeaaase!!!!!!!! that would be wonderful!!! i await with baited breath..... ur getting pretty famous in the uk now you know - iv spread the word and everybody thinks your just lovely!!! :)
hey shesrich - its just a little ID sticker. When I do baackstage work for fashion shows with other makeup artists, I would know which ones are MINE. And I tell ya, you can easily loose track of your stuff, so this makes it easier for me to identify my stuff.
Hey Koren, thanks so much for these tuts. You know we luv you dont you? lol Ok, question...what is your favorite of all time best in the wholewide world Mascara?
maybelline, revlon - just make sure it has rounded silicone pads, and not flat. If it does, then just buy the replacement pads, theyre not that expensive.
if u happen to already be wearing foundation and powder, put a hint of foundation over the eyearea and powder on top, it works exactly the same as primer
ive seen the primer potion from urban decay on everyones makeup videos. im thinking about getting one but does it dry out the sensitive skin above the eyes?
thank you so much... just subscribed..very informative = )

Hi Koren, I've noticed a logo on your Mac makeup like a star, what is it?
shesrich 4 years ago
i noticed that too.
i thought it was like a fat cross though lol.
woahxRAHR 4 years ago
hey shesrich - its just a little ID sticker. When I do baackstage work for fashion shows with other makeup artists, I would know which ones are MINE. And I tell ya, you can easily loose track of your stuff, so this makes it easier for me to identify my stuff.

Maybelline is really good.

I have a Revlon one and it is really good. :)
ShexyKristin 4 years ago
maybelline, revlon - just make sure it has rounded silicone pads, and not flat. If it does, then just buy the replacement pads, theyre not that expensive.

if u happen to already be wearing foundation and powder, put a hint of foundation over the eyearea and powder on top, it works exactly the same as primer

ive seen the primer potion from urban decay on everyones makeup videos. im thinking about getting one but does it dry out the sensitive skin above the eyes?
littlemax1 4 years ago
not at all littlemax. Its actually so silky when you first apply, and once it sets, it doesnt dry the skin at all.
