for work experience i spent time 2 years ago at the hospital..

it was a lot of fun.

i was in year 8.

they taught me how to take blood.learnt how to take BP.

i sat in on a clinical meeting with interns and medical stuents where they discussed infectious mononucleosis..

they were suprised at my abilities.

unfortunately medicine isnt for me.

it is going to be foreign affairs..

when i soke to my uncle who is a gastroenetrologist he said that all foreigners have to pass American Board examinations.

this isnt easy for universities where "connections" seem to play a role for entrance and for passing.

they have to do an exam includinf physiology,biochemistry,anatom­y as well as clinical medcine and clinical surgery.

i m not sure wht kind exam r u talking abt dude.... all i know, In US/Canada,, all the doctors need to give USMLE exam regardless they r national or foreigners.... once u get through... u r eligible to do residency in US/canada.... SO by all means i think pakistan medical degree is acceptable once u clear the exam

but i do know that to be given particular posts in specific areas,such as cardio thoracic surgery etc etc,you need to be approved.and they apprently give at times preferences to people from third world countries to assist the skills of doctors who will go back to their native country to help their country.

america is very fair and sensible in helping other countries out..this country should be at times thanked

No doubt America accepts foreign graduates but they r not lenient to give residency in high paid department like surgery or some others.... aint it baised? but in some exceptional case they allow... My friend in DC doing residency in Surgery cuz his USMLE score was 97% and none of the american were even closed to that... so Good luck buddy...
