@goran21715 goran u dont know what the fuck you are talking about, u have no intellect of historical facts, u do not make any sense, you are boring, and to top it off , you are a dirty kurdish muslim piece of shit, now go fuck your mohammed.
The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East.
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

according to Torah Adam was born in the year 3761 B.C., Noah in 2705 B.C., Abraham in 1815 and Moses in 1392 B.C. Now if any researcher has doubt about the birthday of Zoroaster he may mention his objection and we will reply. We Iranians are an oppressed nation who have no recorded history because our real history which incorporated millions of volumes were burnt to ashes by Arab, Mongol
Sepa12, the distinction between Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Babylonians—variously used as ethnic and political terms—goes back far beyond the beginning of the Catholic church. It was not imposed by any pope, but is reflected in the political and military clashes between the dynasties with power bases in Assur and Nineveh (northern, Assyrian) and those in Babylon (southern, Babylonian). Admittedly, in an 8.5 minute video, there are oversimplifications, but we shouldn't erase all distinctions.
Christopher, your knowledge seems very strong about this topic, although I am going to have to correct you on a few things;
starting with Assyrians... this includes Chaldeans and Babel...Chaldeans are Assyrians, they speak the same language and eat the same food.. only difference is the roman pope converted them from Orthodox to Catholic and didnt want them to relate to one another so the name Chaldean was brought up...Babel was a city in Assyria not a country or army on its own.
@Sepa12 they asked the Pope to call them Chaldeans because they wanted to be called like that cause we ARE Chaldeans dont get it twisted okay?, because we are Assyrian Chaldeans
What's the difference BC or BCE, when the year is the same! I don't see why they need to change a perfectly functional system... except to take the reference to Christ out of it. What cowards.
Babylonians and Assyrians are the same people. same language, culture, religion, history and ethnicity, but the political relationship between the two was often volatile.
Babylonia wanted to be independent and respected as the older culture, Assyria wanted it to be part of their empire because they wanted to be unified.
@Elinitsam I don't deny Christ in any way. I'm a big fan, in fact. And I don't think that using "BCE" instead of "BC" makes me a Christ-denier any more than using the name "Wednesday" for the middle of the work week makes me an Odin/Wotan-worshiper. And, I must say, cussing out those who don't use the abbreviations you prefer seems a strange way to honor Christ.
also sculptures of lammassu have been carved everywhere thats in babylon in sumeria in persia and mostly mesopotamia itself. That artifact only belongs to Ashurians (Assyrians). Just because the capital of nineveh fell doesnt mean there is no assyrians, there where tribes mainly 5 that broke off and spanned across mesopotamia. Also babylonians came from Assur building their city near the two rivers tigris and euphrates. Lastly they all spoke ancient aramaic being only the assyrians speak it now.
For one most of the information retrieved from the excavations have been moved to England and other museums. Two most of those artifacts have been claimed by other nationalities who have no rights of ownership, (Chaldeans, Kurds, Iraqis, Iranians and many others. Two most of those civilisations based their beliefs on paganism like christmas and other such events which has been tied into christianity thats assyrian doing,
@UmakeMeSYK (1) Where are you getting your (mis)information? In the biblical tradition, Abraham came from "Ur of the Chaldeans"—and "Chaldeans," if that's an ethnic term, are Iron Age Babylonians, not Assyrians. Ever since Sir Leonard Woolley excavated the city of Ur, some Bible readers have connected Abraham's "Ur of the Chaldeans" with Woolley's Ur III—which is Sumerian, not Assyrian. But Cyrus Gordon showed that it's more likely that Abraham's Ur was in Syria, not Mesopotamia.
@UmakeMeSYK (2) I also don't know where you're getting this "three cities of Hebrews" business, as the biblical Abraham traditions don't say anything about him building any cities. Most of what we know about Assyria comes from excavations in Mesopotamia, not from Israelite (more properly, Judean) sources. And it's no more right to say that Babylonians and Sumerians are Assyrians than it is to say that Cubans and Nicaraguans are Mexicans. By Jesus’s birth, Assyria had been gone for 600+ years.
Your comparison of saying "that Babylonians and Sumerians are Assyrians" to "Cubans and Nicar. are Mex." is a very different comparison. Sumerians/Babylonians and Assyrians were merely on the same land, with Assyrians conquering and owning that entire Middle East region to Mediterranean Sea. Also, to correct you, Chaldeans and Assyrians are the same people. Chaldean in Aramaic (Syriac) simply means "Catholic" as most Assyrians practiced Orthodoxy. Same people.
@Manhatten312 Funny, read the Bible, since you seem like you know history, the oldest book is the bible, read about the Chaldeans of Babylon, and then you can rewrite this comment with the proper info!
@myASSYRIANpride Leaving aside the point that claiming "your" empire fell 18 years earlier than I stated is a very strange way to show "pride," the fact is that you're wrong. The last Babylonian surge against Assyria indeed began around 625, but Nineveh didn't fall until 612, and a cohesive Assyrian military held out farther west until the battle of Haran c. 607.
@trueapostle117 BCE = "Before the Common Era," where the "common era" is shared by both Christians and Jews. BCE = BC and CE = AD, but BCE/CE has become more common in academic biblical studies where Jews and Christians work closely side-by-side.

An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. [...]
The shields of his soldiers are red;
the warriors are clad in scarlet.
The metal on the chariots flashes
on the day they are made ready;
the spears of pine are brandished.
The chariots storm through the streets,
rushing back and forth through the squares
They look like flaming
