I have only seen him play on 2 songs. This one he only plays the same 2 notes a few times. Another was a Lolla 2010 performance where he played a very simple riff and had a very simple solo. I don't think that he can play it really, just maybe learned a couple things for performances.

They're a band that writes deep, intellectual music involving serious matters and hardships in life that they, and other people go through. So they're not going to act how everyone "expects" them to act. They are going to act how they feel.
