  • love how wynonna and naomi get the loudest applause <3

  • the first lady of country music is often a term misunderstood

for example Loretta Lynn is the first lady 0f country music so was Tammy wynette and s0 is dolly parton how could this be you ask well there not talking like the very first the definition is a woman considered to be at the top of her profession or art // which means there can be more than one woman at the top of her profession do you all understand that now.....

  • After this The Judds ran to Oprah :(

  • when country was still country

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • well dat was downright purty!

  • aw this is so awesome! <3 love these girls xx

  • Martina McBride was a decade too late, she is one of the greatest singers of older music like this.

  • I love this song dolly is amazing

  • uhm loretta was the 1st lady in country music!

  • wonderfull

  • This is great! What year is this?

  • when was this? was this before or after Tammy died? which R.I.P

  • Yikes.

  • They seemed like they recorded it...and"sang"on stage...I'm most likely wrong...5 stars either way...:)

  • If Martina or Patty either one woere to record this it would sell Platinm!

  • Martina hit it on the head... sounded just like Tammy

  • @1812joyce No she did'nt, no one could sound like tammy wynette

  • lol....gotta love Dolly!! love that you can hear her no matter what....they could've put her at the back of the stage with no mic and you'd a still heard her!! : )

  • By gawd, they've got so awesome voices, those women

  • wow this is awesome

  • that should have been loretta up there instead of the judds. they can sing dont get me wrong but loretta was her friend

  • @abrown144 The Judds WERE friends will Tammy. Wynonna sang at her Funeral for god sakes!

  • @fpngan ohhh struck a nerve did i?? look i didnt say anything bad about the judds so unless you have something positive to say, go get a life and back off of me and my comments ok buddy

  • @abrown144 Woah there! Look's like I struck a nerve! My comment was just as "positive" as yours was!

  • @fpngan look lets just drop this because i have better things to do than argue over stupid stuff like this and im sure you do as well.

  • i don't think having the judds there was a good addition. I love them but their voices didn't seem to go well with this song or with the other singers

  • Martina McBride put them all to shame! :)

  • dollylove46 She is called First Lady because she was the first lady in Country music to be honored and give awards that no other Woman in the business had gotten before.

  • Trisha should have sang rather than introduced

  • -so it is-

  • Who thinks we trade Patty and Martina for some Loretta and Reba!!!!

  • @12wert12wert12wert hell yea some redheads lol.

  • wow it took all five of these ladies to sing together to equal the power and magick of the real Tammy,,,there wil never be another Tammy Wynette

  • Patty Loveless sounded great!! Awesome voice. She is pure country.

  • this was not @ the CMA it was at the ACM

  • ONLY LIKED THE DOLLY PARTON BITS !!!!!!

  • juest the greatist tears in my eyes. what better group to sing

  • Dolly and Martina have the best voice up there!!!!!! :) But Martina has the best voice in my own opinion!

  • Dolly's voice stands out so much !! dolly is amazing

  • Well alittle nevs flask Loretta Lynn is the first lady of country music and the queen of country music. I like tammy but the truth the truth.

  • @MrRickycurry Maybe call Loretta the Queen of Country or something (even though personally I think Dolly is...) But Tammy WAS the "First Lady of country" because she was MARRIED to George Jones the "president or country". Loretta's amazing, but she wasn't married to another country singer so First Lady wouldn't make sense.

  • @dollylove46 you're spot on...Tammy is rightfully the First Lady of Country and Loretta is the Queen, but Dolly, well, she's the undeniable Goddess ;^)

  • @markcosborne absolutely

  • Don't like the Judds. Thats a hater family.

  • You can really hear Dolly over all these lovely singers :D

  • Naomi Judd gets on my nerves!

  • what year was this? i love it

  • Country Western at its best..... Love the song... and Dolly is the cherry on the icing x God bless

  • A Wonderful Tribute to a Great Artist. Ciao Tammy.

    Grazie bree

  • Still prefer to hear Blues brothers singing it.

  • Very nicely done ladies! Patty, the older you get, the better lookin you get!

  • Matina sounds just like her..WOW...Tammy Wynette would be proud...I was....

  • i saw emily & natalie from the Dixie Chicks!!!

    joyjoy!!

  • great tribute, thank you for uploading this fantastic clip

  • I Love This Song

  • song rocks video is great

  • what year was this, it looks fairly recent. Miss tammy so much she was a ledgend.

  • @MyJustified It was probably the '98 awards, as Tammy died in the April of that year.

  • Wow, compare these legendary ladies with today's pop girls, making pop music in Nashville... the contrast is stunning!

  • Dolly outstages them because she's the most famous, loudest & closest to Tammy.

  • this song is a powerful way to tell someone that you love them

  • the judds have perfect harmony!!! always have always will!! if they could have they would still be going strong today!!! all of these ladies are incredible!!

  • Although I love both Dolly and Patty, can't say the same about the Judds, the only one who sounded great on this performance was Martina, by a country mile. The others could never pull this song off alone, but Martina can sing anything and sound great. That's not talent, that's a gift.

  • Wynonna , Patty, and Dolly all can pull this song off alone. They all have gifts.

  • oh my god, thats too much baby,i just love these ladies

  • That was just beautiful! I love all of these ladies dearly, (saw Patty in concert recently) and they all did a fantastic job on that classic song!

Kudos to Carrie and Taylor for keeping the wave of female talent rolling!

  • is it just me or has this been badly edited.... they seem to sing before you can hear them ???

  • @14weemic Yup, the audio seems to be off a little. Sorry about that =(

  • Dolly knows what she's talking about. She's stood by her husband for 43 years!!!

  • @lapetiteombre well there was never a reason to leave his side. :D

  • @lapetiteombre Its not like Dolly was innocent. She too has had numerous extramarital affairs.

  • THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC! :D All we need is a little bita Reba in there and...

Oooo it just sounds SO good!

  • @TotalRebaFan12 iagree

  • Terrific song but VERY quik switch to the original is required.........Yek....

    Tammy you were the greatest...

  • i'm not really a fan of country music, but Tammy was an amazing vocalist! And this song is dope, no matter what genre of music ur into. r.i.p. the first lady of country.

  • this is country music!!

    screw..

all this new artists i/e Talor Swift && Carrie Underwood

  • vraiment super j'adore

  • VERY VERY GOOD

  • did you notice how far martina was standing from everyone else???? or was it just me

  • was just you.. dolly owned it

  • this is country music!!

    screw..

all this new artists i/e miranda lambert, etc

  • there all good

  • Um...wasnt she like in an abusive relationship or sumthing? Like ended up being addicted to pain killers.....I looked up the bio on her just then.....she died in her sleep of a blood clot (also addicted to pain killers) - not nice anyway, and far too young!

  • She was married to George Jones and he drank a lot.

  • How did Tammy die???on a plane crash?

  • she was sick alot of her life- she had a couple of strokes and then a blood clot. She got over her addiction at a clinic in Rancho Mirage, CA a few years before she died

  • She died in her sleep, after years of health problems...

  • I believe that was Patsy Cline who died in a plane crash. Not sure how Tammy died. Wonderful tribute, Martina does a terrific performance of this on her own as well.

  • don't forget Dolly!

  • and Reba and Brabra Mandrell

  • For me Martina's voice was the best of the lot but they were all brilliant!!

  • Remember,

this was done unplugged, without Autotune.

I almost fainted when I realized Trisha was doing the intro. Garth Brooks is one lucky man.

  • This is beautiful.

Billy Sherrill actually co-wrote this one,

with Tammy. It's a gem. Billy produced it.

    1968. 41 years ago.

    This song is simply amazing.

  • The German translation of this title

is "HIm Who Loves, Looks Up."

    Ver Liebe Zucht

    "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

  • tammy will always be the best at her song. i love the judds here. just a great posting! thanks!

  • dolly is great, just the queen

  • I thought Loretta was called the first lady of country music. How many first ladies of coutry music are there?

  • Which one? Trisha or Wynonna? lolol

  • Comment removed

  • nothing like tammy wynette she was a one off

  • Not true. AT all

  • o yea! which is why she sang lead vocals at the start of their career!

  • Unforgetable !!!!

  • id love to bang martina

  • love martina.... cute clip.... : )

  • geeez, come on.

  • When was this

  • Comment removed

  • 2000 and it was actually on the ACM's not the CMA's

  • Hard to find good ones like her anymore. Dolly, Loretta, Tammy, Wynonna, Tanya, Rimes, Reba...that about sums up anything you wanna hear.

  • I miss Tammy Wynette. She was an awesome singer. One of my inspirations!

  • Martina sure is tiny!! but she still kicks ass!

  • I bet Dolly's smaller. Her wig makes her just as tall as Martina. Little but Loud sums up Doll. I miss Tammy too.

  • I love how Dolly adds a small clip of I Will Always Love You at the end by saying,

"Tammy, we will always love you."

  • REba!

  • I wish Trisha would have sang this with them!!

  • i agree..

  • very good but not a patch on miss tammy wynette she was andstill is the queen of country music god bless tammy rest in peace i love ya!! xxxxxxs

  • Dolly Parton is still alive to this day! Lol I know there was a stupid rumor going around some time ago, saying that she suddenly died but she denied it herself. Tammy Wynette is the one singer who died in 1998 and the singers in the video sang the song as a tribute to her.

  • Wonderful upload, Tammy Wynette was an amazing performer.

  • Did they do this in 98 or 99?

  • wow did she die??

  • Yes, Tammy Wynette died in 1998... a huge loss for country music :(

  • what year was this?

  • I'm not sure, should be around 2000 anyway...

  • seen martina live on stage in dollywood she still looks sounds great they all do

  • I like Martina with the short hair cut. Great job.

  • reba was in the crowd

  • naomi is so cute.... love it thanxs for shareing.

  • Is martina mcbride not the most beautiful woman to ever pick up a microphone?

  • love this video thanks they all sing great together do think martina was best

  • martinaaaaa

  • I definately think Martina sings this song the best without a doubt.

  • i absolutely love naomi judd. she is sooo adorible

  • i prefer when martina sings it herself

  • I love all the ladies in here but I think Martina McBride's voice is the best....amazing clarity and power!

  • that was good I think it was pretty good all together

  • dolly the best!

  • I honestly Martina's voice was the best suited one for this.

    And I wasn't too big of a fan of how they all sounded together. It was like a few of them were trying to out sing the others. >.>;;

I'll probably get a thumbs down for this, but whatever.

  • Nah I agree, it's just a little tribute and it wasn't meant to be sung by 5 big country singers in unison...but it's cool to see!

  • Ok that was the same night Billy Gilman sand Roly Poly, so this was one crazy night to remember!!!! Great song and women!!

  • hi can i ask who the 1 wiv short dark hair is shes a great singer

  • that's Martina McBride =) you should check out her and Kelly Clarkson singing Does He Love You- they're both GREAT! ;)

  • thanks for replying i will do that think dolly is amazing 2 x x

  • That's Martina McBride! She sings 'This One's For The Girls'!

    She's amazing.

  • Dolly is a legend. She is quite easily the Queen of Country Music. No one compares to her.

  • dolly is the most successful woman in county, its a stated fact and it is hard to compete with her, she is still goin at 62, and she has more number ones then any woman, 25, reba comes in 2nd with 22

  • You're right. She is still going. I think she is an amazing woman to look up to because she holds on no matter what is going on and how hard it is. I know that she had some tough times but she got through with the lord by her side always.

  • great! martina and dolly are amazing! <3

  • What a wonderful video and a terrific song - just made for Tammy. Dolly and Martina can sure sing the fire out of any song. We do miss Tammy so much and she will always be in our hearts and one of the true queens of country music. Thank you for posting this. -Paula

  • I would add Tanya Tucker too

  • Wow! Now that was history in the making!

  • I love Naomi, and of course Wy Tammy Dolly Martina and Patty, Tammy was the first lady of country music, just add Reba and Barbara Mandrell and you have the best women of country music, and Loretta! The Judds!!!!

  • OMG!! I love this!!!

    its TRULY AMAZING!!!

They're all brilliant in their own aspects - yet they all sound so beautiful when they sing together!!!

I'm sure Tammy was watching down on them with a HUGE smile on her face.

I LOVE the Judds!! and Dolly!! And Martina!!! And lastly but NOT leastly Patty too!!

  • Is it just me or isn't it amazing how Dolly's voice soars over everyone else's when they sing together at the end? She is truely THE QUEEN.

  • I completely agree with you!

  • what yr was this?

  • Awesome, of all 4 Best music of all time,

    Wonderful memories.

Us folks (especially Aryans) have truly something to celebrate.

Especially from a musician. which I am

  • WOW add Reba and u'll have the best women in country music....of i love tammy as well

  • Just browsing. and it becomes so apparent that Dolly Patron is a queen in this industry. She has the stage presence, the connection with the audience, the empowering voice, and truly genuine talent. Love ya Dolly!

  • Absolutely the truth!

  • aw! loveeee it!

  • I think Tammy would have loved this. I especially love Patty Loveless singing. She's pure country. Tammy deserved a tribute. It's about time for another one. It's been 10 years. Rest in Peace.

  • awsome job you guys and tammy we miss you
