Damn it must suck to be the CEO of Hankook, Cooper, or Falken tires... only reason drifters use them is because they have mediocre grip, but just enough to handle all that power when they're loose. They aer absolutely horrible tire for any application requiring maximum grip.

Actually, most top level Formula Drift cars can maintain 1.2-1.4 g of lateral acceleration while drifting on a street tire. So your statement about mediocre grip is false. Having a tire that can preform at just about any temperature range is a great quality of a street tire. Put some Hankook RS-3's on your car and do a track day. I promise you will not be disappointed in its performance considering its a 140 treadwear tire.

@iceman69420 because you have to take into account that in the video if the angles look the same then the car behind has more angle but it looks like the driver in the mustang did not need as much power in the corners while the driver in the Camaro looks like he is trying either to impress the judges or did not initiate with enough speed or maybe enough angle but the driver would have to tell you exactly why though.

IDk why people look down on american muscle cars drifting. These things have so much power they're more than capable of flowing sideways just as smooth as the JDM cars. With a little suspension tuning the handling should be perfect. Weight is truly and issue but the power compensates for that just fine. RWD and AWD cars alike are all rad a hell.
