Natasha...great post. We Yanks often forget the selfless contributions of the Cannucks in Afghanistan. I lived in New Brunswick for a couple of years and know how heavy the Canadian heart is when someone falls. Thanks for having our back!
if my county needs me ill stand tall if my county needs blood i will give mine if i must die to protect canada i will give my life without a second thought. O Canada ill fight for you
Canada and the US are like real neighbors, we may fight now and again but when one side needs the other they help eachother out. Respect for all military personnel.
Born in Canada but now an American. Much respect for the Canadian military that goes out there and gets the job done. Sadly the Canadian military does not get the benifits that their fellow soldiers here in the USA get. All the more reason to hold your heads high, you guys are trully fighting for pride and honor. I have friends and family in different branches of U.S special forces, and they often tell me that JTF2 are amongst the best in the world.
I'm an American and salute our Canadian brothers to the north. You're heroism and gallantry are legendary. This video is about Canadians but can also be about soldiers everywhere serving their country.
Canada us Americans always poke fun at you, but when your men die side by side with ours in the name of freedom, I cant find any other way to express my gratitude then by saying thank you. God bless all men who die in the name of freedom. Thanks from the US of A oorah!
Wow, :O! I'm realy supprised that no one said canada sucks or anny thing! Almost every video, theres some one that says i Hate usa, or canada.. But not here :D
I dont know why canadians hate USA? We work toghether on alot of things and we always have. I give you guys so much credit for basically taking pretty much all of italy during world war 2. Congrats to you all of you and i wish our friendship will remain. In the US we all love you guys.
@blackhawkwm why would us Canadians have anything against Americans? We do not hate your country in any way. As i said before we have no disrespect for your country, learn your facts before you post a rather controversial comment on the internet
I hope all the Canadians know that there southern neighbors are saddened every time we here that our northern brothers and sisters are killed helping fight a war that should have ended yrs ago. I'm am truly sorry.
good song, but what about our fallen enemy soldiers, to everyone my respects to any one who has lost a life to the useless money making share holders of the war profit machine.. please remember we r all someones child
what about them? no one forced them to fight... they volunteered like our soldiers. except they volunteered for the cause of fascist radical islam.. so fuck them
From an american who understands what it means to see your loved ones go, GOD BLESS YOU, and a big thanks to Canada because even though they are with the NATO forces they are still a big help. I thank you all from a southern neighbor.
Why do Canadians do so much than Germany and France ...you Canadians are Stronger and so much better than Austraians ..true ..I am so angry that you lot never accept how BEST IS BEST IS CANADIAN
Canada get out...you ..as always..what is with you Canadians that you have to do more than anyone. The Australians shout the Canooks just go quitely..as usual more than anyone else. We Brit Paras know it you canadians are V. Special
May God Bless each Man and Woman who has ever served in the Canadian Armed Forces. I am humbled and so appreciative of your service and sacrifices... Thank you!
Another six Brits home today via Newton Bassett one Grenadier Guards RSM. Where are our NATO Allies the Germans the French and Italians. Is it the rule that only English Speaking Nations must take up the sword and die
What is it about Canadian Soldiers ..I'm a Brit Soldier by the way..they (Canadians) seem to make so little fuss yet quietly fight harder and die disproportionately. I see that the German Army are not allowed to patrol at night, Italians paid the local Taliban protection money ..true. Canada amazing guys
My heart is so heavy after hearing about another soldier dying in Afghanistan. My family knows someone who is at a Forward Camp (does anyone know what that means?) in Afghanistan and when I heard the news this morning I had chills and started crying. Every loss is tragic.
I have so much gratitude and respect for all of our CF personnel. Thank you is not enough for what you do to ensure that we live in a free society and to help others like the people of Afghanistan. God Bless You All. Emily.
A Forward Camp, or Forward Opperations Base, is usually located in posts around Afghanistan, soldiers stay there for a time and conduct patrols and help out in the area.
Canadian Pte Robert Costall and Vermont National Guard Sgt. John Thomas accidentally shot (from behind) and killed by a U.S. machine gunner near Kandahar, in Afghanistan
its not about the americans and what happened to them, its about us helping the world to make it a better place to live in. the taliban are trying to sieze control of afghanistan and its people and they will do anything for it. its the al-queida who were behind the 9/11 attacks and who are in iraq. so leave the 9/11 theories to the americans for iraq, we are in afghanistan solely to help the ppl, not to get back at what happened.
love the video, absolutely superb. but reading down the comments and seeing the all the ppl who dont support the war, those are the ones who dont know why we are there. we are not there because of 9/11, thats americas job in iraq. the reason we are there is because the afghan government were having so much problem that they called upon nato forces, specifically canadian british and american ones because they know that we can get the job done and save the afghan ppl, thats what we canadians do.
I just found out that a friend of ours has a son who is deploying to Afghanistan in September. I know that she worries to a point, but if it were not for men and women like them, our world would be a very different place. She said that he loves what he does and that unless you are actually over there, we have no idea what the Afghani ppl endure on a daily basis. I can only imagine.
Natasha... You've done it again! Great video tribute to the brave men of the CAF in Afghanistan. Pray those still over there come home "ALIVE & SAFE" SOON!!!
Steve, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it must be like for you and your family. Please know that our military is valued and we owe our freedom to people like Brian who are and were willing to serve. My heart is aching as I type this. God Bless You and your family. My uncle was a peacekeeper in the Armed Forces and the roots of service in the military run deep in this family.
Thank you for posting. It makes it even more real and pressing that we NEVER FORGET the fallen.
I was quite moved by this tribute. I had the pleasure of meeting Kenneth O'Quinn back in '98, he was a good man. He said something to me then that was a quote from someone else(can't remember for the life of me now) that I felt truly summed up the CAF. "Bravery isn't the absence of fear, it's coming to the realization that there's something more important than what you're afraid of."
To our lost heroes, may you rest in the arms of God, you have went above and beyond your call of duty, I present my arm to all of you. and give my thanks to all of you.
