  • Quick Question If someone calls your Nettalk # do they have to type in the 11 digit 1-(XXX)-XXX-XXXX or is the 7 digit is fine as long as it is supported in the area

  • @GuEnavEre408

They call it just like they would any other home land line. If your in the same area code and only have to dial 7 digits, it works

  • @lucaslanddotcom Thank You, I guess it's time to get myself one.

  • How did the voice mail work out?

  • @MassZombicide voice mail works fine. it even sends the voice message to me in an email

  • Hello,hello,hello sharp painful sound,ouch.

  • Thanks for the info. I found voip available at vontrump.com really wonderful.

  • the call quality is really bad for net talk.......I beleieve this guy is paid by net talk to put up this video....he didn't talk on it for people to hear the voice qulaity of the thing....this is a trick video period.

  • @johnson67213

trick video ? yes, aren't the special effects great? George Lucas taught me everything I know. Video just meant to show it working.

  • @johnson67213 just lettin you know, you're an idiot.

  • @johnson67213 Nettalk works great magic crap sucks.

  • do you know if nettalk allows you to use a phone card if you want to make an international call? I've had magic jack b4 and the only option i had was to use their rates which was a lil expensive than buying a phone card.. Since buying nettalk, have you encountered any problems with it?

  • Nettalk is a million times better than magic crap.

  • yes you need a router, or you can plug it directly into cable modem if you don't plan on using it for computer

  • Do need a router for it to work? cause i dont have one. just a laptop

  • @STILLNESSISMIND You can use a wireless modem

  • man i want one of these, Magic Jack has gotten on my nerves, the new version has a yearly cost of 29.99 per year unlike this one

  • @proverb311031 It is a lot better than magic crap

  • i have charter cable internet. mine did not work. something about the wireless router/modem i have messes up VOIP. motorola sbg901. tech support finally fessed up that my particular modem has problems with this thing. it's on it's way back to florida.

  • it didnt occur to me, but looks like the tk6000 unit is now a hot collector's item. since these units came with lifetime service and the new Duo does not.

  • I figured out the NetTalk unit was overheating. I wrapped it with aluminum foil and made a poor man's heat sink. It works a lot better. When it acts up, I unplug it for 10 minutes from the wall ac adaptor and plug it back in. I have 10g cable, so that's why I narrowed it down to the unit. I paid a one time fee of $99.99 for lifetime unlimited service and it runs out when the unit stops working. Good thing I got it before they stopped that deal. Hopefuly, it will out live me! I like free!

  • How clear the sound

  • Same here very happy with nettalk duo =) NO PC needed WOOT

  • @twisted2cj

Do you get to keep your old phone number, or do they give you a new one?

  • @youbetterbelievehah

You have to select a new one

  • Ive just got the new Nettalk Duo, and it WORKS GREEAATT. check out m video review.

  • The NetTalk I purchased won't dial 716 area code numbers, sounds choppy and won't work during peak internet hours. They submitted a repair ticket, but it's never been fixed. The VOIP are all new technology and they do not work correctly. They all say they do, but trust me, they all have flaws. Stick to a landline or cell phone.

  • @bbaaspencer1

Also depends on your internet connection and setup. Voip always works best with a high speed broadband connection. Beware using it on DSL service. sometimes they are not that fast.

nettalk also has a call forwarding feature. You can have your calls go to your cell phone

  • @lucaslanddotcom

I have the fastest broadband available. I have NetTalk hooked up right now. Yesterday and today, it did not ring out from 5pm-6pm (central time) and was not 100% clear when it did work. And yes, I have a corded phone, not a wireless one. It was down last weekend and went back up yesterday. Who can go without a phones for days?

  • @bbaaspencer1 Spencer, I have been using voip services for 4 years. Two years with Sunrocket, then a year with the company that took over their assets and now I am using Voipo. I am considering this because it's lower in cost. Most people who use voip have a cell anyway. They just like having a faux landline. If you can cycle a modem, you can have a VOIP. I have a couple outages a year..but I currently pay $135 for 16 months of service with unlimited phone, E911, local# and block numbers.

  • @bbaaspencer1 when was this? and did it ever get fixed?

  • Watch out for intentionally misleading negative reviews which are probably the work of a magickjack employee.. I have been using both Magicjack and Nettalk and have no doubt that Nettalk is a superior product with better value for money.

  • I have NT. Is a great product. Better than most VoIp vendors. I send it to my country and I call my family daily, good voice cuality, never drops is the best investment that I have made. I returned my MJ after a month of having NT.

  • Thank you for your help it really help me out i have my own number now but when i try to call this number or the one that they assigned me the call does not go on well sorry for taking your time but do i need another tk6000 in other to work, or any other telephone or mobile can call me i was wondering because you call the number that they give you and it work hehe thanks.

  • How can you answer NetTalk calls?

you need to call another tk6000 for it to work?

  • you just plug your regular home phone to it and call anyone you want. person you call doesn't have to be a nettalk customer

  • NetTalk does not make refunds in a TIMELY manner. Once they get your returned device, they sit on it and will not process your refund. If you check on it, by phone, they keep putting you off and will not process your refund. The device itself works about 50% of the time, and is really not ready for prime time sales. Best to stay away from this company, they will probably go under.

  • @BoomChaRhythm I have Net talk, I think is better than MJ and it will kill MJ. Refunds are made fast, my brother got his money back in 3 days.

  • BoomChaRhythm is most likely a MT employ as I've been researching NT and I've seen this exact comment +- a few words about 10 times on different sites.

  • hey my nettalk its work good but i have a problem with it beacuse always i have to plug and unplug the nettalk to works well.. i dont know what do i have to do?

  • i have majicjack this majicjack is better for mi

  • @catracho803 Can you be more specific. How MJ can be better if you need to have your comp. on at all times in order to make or receive calls? With NT, you do not need a comp. at all. I use it and love it.

  • Do they provide voice mail? Is there any indication on the unit showing a pending voice mail?

  • it does include voicemail. Its just a small box to plug the wires in and there is nothing there to let you know you have any messages. I use the message machine with my phone

  • can u get a better camera??

  • how's the quality ? i'm very interested in this product but i need to see some reviews ...

  • as long as you have a high speed internet like cable and nor DSL, you should have excellent quality. So far it's just as good as my old vonage service, and i had them for 4 years

  • @lucaslanddotcom

for dsl service dont i need telephone service already? i have telephone service already if i cancel it will my verizon dsl service still work?

  • how is it working , lucas?

  • How i get my phone # where i have to go

  • i am thinking about getting one. how is the call quality and everything ?

  • They recently fixed a problem with intermittent garble on their network. Since then, calls are very clear.

  • seems really nice. i have the magic jack and i hate leaving my computer on.

  • that is the reason why i never bought a MJ. Nettalk connects directly into an open port on your router, apple airport extreme or even your existing vonage box. You never even use your compueter with it. No software to download either. Just need internet access to setup your account on their site and get phone number. I also just canceled vonage. 5 years vonage cost me $15 per month. It now got up to $39, so the hell with them

  • @lucaslanddotcom my friends and i all got the nettalk TK6000 to test it out and the call quality was horrible

  • Try putting a dsl filter between the phone and nettalk device. they might just need to tune out filtering technology.
