We definitely do not have the best society for everyone as long as we are so homophobic, anti-transgender, racist, ethnocentric, sexist (toward both men and women), fearful of skepticism and against secular education. On top of that, most people in the U.S seem to think freedom of religion does not include the choice not to have a religion. Well, it does include that choice and no state should be allowed to have religious tests for positions in their state's government.
