Great mouse, just bought one but I have to ask, where is buttons 8 and 9 I count 7. Right click and left is 2 middle is 1 more total 3 then 2 more the sensitivity 5 I count now and the 2 side buttons make a total of 7 buttons. Where is 8 and 9?

I just got this. It is charged but how do I get this to run in wireless modes? I hit the on off switch; I hit the little radio button on the bottom of the mouse and it only works in wired mode. Then I tired to unwire it and it stopped moving. I had to reattach my Razer Diamondback to have a working mouse. Your help is appreciated.

I was PSYCHED when i saw the sticker in the packaging as i opened the Mamba up yesterday. I splurged and bought it yesterday and let me tell you, the sticker is awsome, ya the mouse is flawless, and tracks better in wireless mode than most gaming mice do with a wire, and it is the most beautiful mouse every created even when its off, but that sticker boyyy is NASTY! I still haven't decided the perfect place to put it on my Antec Case, its the perfect finish to my Ultimate Gaming RIg.

Honestly, I play CS competitively (as in, for money), and before used the microsoft 1.1A. I bought this and I would have paid twice the amount I did for it. I no longer have to slow down on flick shots and tracks faster then i can move it. Also the wireless mode shows no lag what so ever.

i have both.and their both great mice.

specwise the mamba is better but the g5 is still great(i just dont like the cord)

but the problem i have with the g5 is its grip.after awhile the rubber ontop it doesnt really do much but make ur hand more sweaty.which sucks.

while the mambas rubber coat finish actualy kinda absorbs any type of liquid wihch makes it amazing for grip.

another thing i like about the mamba is its new black teflon feet which have no friction at all. and also the mambas sensor has no lift of distance at all.

i did the cd test for lift of ddistance and even on 1 cd the mamba wont track anymore, perfect life off distance.

but the g5 tracks on like 2 cd's

make sure there are no viruses/spywares/adwares/malwa­res in your system.

clear temp files.

do registry and partition defragmentations.

close all unnecessary background tasks.

go to windows services and close all useless services.

do this maintenance once a week or every 2 weeks and windows will never slow down.

windows works well if the user knows well.

On Razer's website for the drivers, they have a bolded section for 64-bit Vista users that states: "The drivers required to download firmware data to your Razer Mamba mouse and docking station do not contain a digital signature.This means, before installing the Mamba Firmware Updater, you will need to boot your system with driver signature enforcement disabled."

Ive been having the same problem as you death. Im also using windows 7 and it got botched up when i tried to run the latest firmware update 1.07. Now the mouse is totally unresponsive and the LED's dont even light up when im charging it. Windows detects it as an unknown usb device and i have been unable to flash the firmware. Im just gonna return it to best buy later today and continue using my lachesis.

The problem is that the drivers for the firmware update are not Digitally Signed so they won't install .You need to boot into Windows 7 using F8 before the WIndows 7 splash screen and chose the Disable the signature enforcement option. Then retry the firmware update.

Just got my Mamba today..

This thing is awesome. Its really REALLY smooth and extremely comfortable to use.

To answer the most common question people have asked me about it today:

It comes in 3 parts, the mouse, a USB cable and a dock. The dock is also the wireless receiver, there is no separate dongle so if you plug the USB cable into the dock, you have a wireless mouse.. To use the mouse as a wired device, just take the cable out of the dock and plug it into the front of the mouse. 10/10

You my friend are living in the past. Just look at the specs these new mouses have. their just as great as wired ones. The reason for the cable is that if you forgot to charge it, you dont have to quit playing, just plug the cable in and keep playing with the wire. And here comes the boom, me sir was using a razer lachesis before and would not go back. Was also considering the microsoft x8, which also looks very good on paper
