it's simply not true that he had a heart attack... he ate too heavily after a stunningly successful opening night, and then fell ill from the rich food. he was back at the following performances later in the run, he just missed half of the second one.
What peculiar staging...I like her "Ave Maria" but this stylized movement is in contrast w/Domingo's naturalism. Not so sure I prefer it. Thanks much for posting, though. Makes for interesting study.
