  • Hi there, congrats for the work! Have you ever tried your beast with an hi fi system, in subsitution of the tweeter section? Can I send you an email to have schematics or a description of the work? Thanks in advance, Alex

  • dude, AWSOME!!!! can you send me schematics?

  • can u send me schematics for the tesla coil thx in advance

  • hey man im just wondering how long does it take to make one of these? but nice work! 5 stars

  • Could you please send me specs on this? Im only a hobbyist, who restores tube radios, but this looks like quite a fun and interesting winter project.

    jbivy@yahoo.com

  • Du dudu deedle deedloo do dododo

  • I want a schematic

  • super !

  • Excellent! And Rammstein for the end, perfect ;)

  • super i like to much the idea , i need info for making that that

  • Very fine! I especially like the artistic layout. And the musics.

    I do want schematics!

    I have skills.

    Check out my YT vids!

  • very nice. Every consider pumping Monroe Institute hemi-sync sounds to it? Might be cool.

  • mhm I never heard of it before and after reading the website and the wikipedia article I think it's nothing I can believe in...

  • omfg r8test thing (after arcattack ofc lol ) on utube ...... i`m planing 2 build smthng like that ...

any schematics on net on this size ??????

can u touch spark ? or it can kill u ?

and how bout computer components em field isnt deadly 4 computers ?

  • thanks :-) if you really want to build a coil there's much information on the internet. I can also send you my schematics if you contact me here on youtube (and then via email or skype). The spark won't kill you, it is very hot and will burn you like a normal flame. The EM field is shielded and doesn't harm electronics. In fact a computer can be directly connected to the sstc controller via USB.

  • @iva666 English please

  • WOW very nice work, five stars

  • thank you very much :-)

  • Nice and clean!!

  • Oh man, the theme to "Pippi Longstocking" at 2:23! Hahaha! Surprisingly good bass in the analog in mode. Still sounds flat, but cool, like a nice filter.

  • The monophonic sound is amazingly clear! Wow! The polyphonic sound is not bad either.

Are you using a 555 for pulse width modulating, or do you use a microcontroller? Or are you modulating in some other way? And what frequency is it running at?

  • Thanks :-) The monophonic melody is generated by the controlling µC (Atmel ATMega16). Here I use a signal with a constant duty cycle and the frequency of the note I want to play. The polyphonic sound generation uses a PWM frequency of abt 60kHz. The PWM signal is then used to interrupt the 1.6MHz carrier via a 74ACT08 AND gate. The coil itself works as an integrator. In that way the flame size and the air is modulated

  • Thanks for your response. I have never heard about a music mod with separate controls for poly- and monofonic sound before. It seems to work brilliantly.

  • wow that one has the clearest sound I've ever heard!

  • scematic plz

  • Absolutely fantastic! Very impressive mate.. both the sound and the overall appearance of your coil is BY FAR the nicest of any 'musical tesla coils' I've seen on YouTube so far.

A coil; like this would make a killer guitar amp.. :D

  • Rammstein :D

  • hey dude, can you play normal music on that thing?

    my names sam :D

  • hey sam,

yes you can connect an mp3-player to the analog audio input and it will play the music (mono of course).

my previous coil (other videos) only supports playing normal music and needs a pc to control the whole thing.

  • OMG, this is amazing! Someday i'll definitely build a nice tesla coil with audio for myself!

    And nice Pippi tunes too!

  • I'm gonna use my guitar!

  • Right Nice! Very impressive.

  • What is demo played at 2:23?

It sounded to me like Pippi Long Stalkings.

  • Hey jeff! yes it is :-) this was one of the very few melodies which directly worked from a midi source file without changing anything because it is monophonic. I'll have to import more midis and modify them so they'll sound nice.
