Great tip to use drier lint. Suggestion: use the back edge of your knife not the blade. It will strike the flint easier creating a larger spark and won't dull your blade.
spray wd - 40 on the lent and see how much better it is

This is a great tip I've never thought of.
Corn chips like Fritos, Doritos, nacho chips etc all burn furiously too & are great for starting fires.
I keep a bag of Frito's in my car during the winter.

@ewokarmyof1 that was a mag starter but i didnt see you use any of the magnisium? does it catch with just the spark?

start it with lint keep it going with duck tape. burns wet burns forever.
