I have a very good idea of this "potential". Oracle suing Google over java Patents. Look at your typical lawsuit involving software. Netscape? Java Applets? Dont kid yourself. IT IS DEAD.

Java is dead. James Gosling is forced out of Oracle. None of the schools that teach Java actually use it for production. Look at MIT. They are .net. Look at UC IRvine. They are PHP. Why does Java still continue to be promoted by this obsolete guy?
@KortusLombardie I do have an idea of its "potential". If you are talking about the present, the word "potential" doesn't even apply, so choose your words wisely. And using ad hominems doesn't make make your argument correct. It is quite obvious that you have nothing to add to this conversation. Java has tried too hard to be useful, first in embedded devices as OAK (failure), then on the front end of web applications (failure), then in the middle tier of web applications (failure).
@KortusLombardie i don't even know why i'm arguing with a moron like you.. You must have something invested in this obsolete language for you to defend it so much. Too bad your investment will fail.
Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Session from Dr. James Gosling on the Java- and .Net conference
