I hate macbooks so much. The trackpad is terrible and the computer is so slow to do anything other than the internet. Apple still has no idea how to build Intel Macintoshes. The iBooks were much better.

this was the best macbook design. the new macbook pro doesn't have audio inputs or a removable battery, which i won't do without, so i'm stuck with my old white macbook. but when this goes, i don't really know what to do.

ok, i can accept your testimony since I don't have any first hand experience with the product in the dark. I know the laptop i'm using now is silver with grey keys and black charcter keyboard and I use it in the dark quite a bit. So maybe my eyesight is better than most, who knows?

illuminated keyboard is cool but I don't think it's necessary considering you'll get enough light from the display that will shine across your keyboard to see. So you have to ask yourself if it's worth $300 more for the 2.4 ghz model as opposed to the starter model.

I used my 2.0 macbook in the dark more than once and I can guarantee that the display shine hardly if at all illuminates the keyboard. I'm lucky I know where all the keys are ;P

awesome review! I want one! I have windows but i keep getting errors, blue screens and it keeps updating then shutting down without me knowing!!!! Mac is different, i would get one but i will need to stick with windows.....but i am sure i will get it one day. ;)

Everything is beautiful until you open the lid. An aluminum keyboard would have been better. But the unforgivable mistake was the glossy mirror screen!

that was probably the fastest loading for a mac laptop/pc. Almost every single one that i have ever use, the loading takes for ever!

Na, but you can get Neooffice or open office which is microsoft office just not made by microsoft. It includes Powerpoint, word, and an excel equivalent. The difference between the two is Neooffice is optimised for Mac OSX but that doesn't mean you cant use open office!

The glossy display has nothing to do with the clarity of the display, its all about the LED backlighting. The glossy display makes it impossible to use outside, its a real shame.

Didn't he explain it in enough detai? Basically you make sure you have that VM Ware Fusion 2 and Vista installed on your computer, open the program, and run vista.
