ive got an 86 yota and im building my own exaust and before i get too into it, does the allmost twice as large exhaust mess with the back pressure too much?
@kennyleard123 The 1 7/8" exhaust is a huge hindrance on the 22RE. A 2" exhaust helps some, but still leaves some to be desired. You can run a 2", without a cat and open muffler without doing damage. Don't do the ricer muffler, unless you intend on staying with the smaller 1 7/8" pipe before. If you go up to a 2 1/2" pipe, I recommend taking it all the way to the rear, and run some kind of a cat. The extra pipe and bends, will help make up the lost back pressure. Mine ran strong for 10 years, 2"
yah i was hoping to get a new set up on my yota because the mufler and piping is all rusted out and it sounds like shit ive seen integras with coffie cans on um that sound better lol
That sounds soo good! You can barely hear it when it's idling, it's nice, like it a lot!

Sorry for the slow reply. The header was bought for 75 dollars, i'm pretty sure he got the muffler at pick n pull.
