  • WONDERFUL!!! -Muchas gracias por las captions en español, beatiful you are a genious. Saludos cordiales.

  • u're really good!superb painting...i'm gonna use some of ur techniques to help me improve my painting skills and add some effects...thank u so much!n_n

  • I now know what tools I have been missing for secific effects. Thanks! Great job too BTW :o)

  • Great. I'm glad you got something out of it.

This was a one session painting... at this point (like I have) going back and detailing things is recommended.

  • Well I learn many things watching your video, thanks a lot.

  • thanks for your videos. You help me very mach ;)

  • well he didn't help you with the word "mach" ^^

  • OK OK,,,, MUCH! SORRY,, DONT SHOOT

  • That was great and you are a great artst :)

  • i subbed u sub me!

  • this reminds of the channel 13 guy who sign's his name ross on his paintings. hmm.. if u dont mind i might try this on MS paint (on the computer with a mouse)

  • Very nice tutorial! Lovely painting too. Sharing your ideas and what you have learned is most important and you have found a great way to that!

  • Painting can be frustrating. Nice tutorial! It helps me simplify the process a bit. The painting is really beautiful, the process looked very relaxing. For me when I paint I always want to paint something outside the scope of human sight...and end up with a mash of weirdness. I recently tried to paint an elephant on poster-board and haven't finished, the elephant just looks terrible. LOL. I guess I'll stick to abstractness. Are you self-taught or would you recommend taking art classes?

  • Eventhough personally I'm not too wild about the foreground, it's been a very interesting painting lesson. Thank you, it's much appreciated. Interesting concept too that you took it from the vid.

  • Thanks. I'm not either. It looks very dark and bold in the video, now that it has dried, the darkness isn't as bold. I'm still not crazy about it though, nor the image in it's entirety. I will have some better things to work off of in the near future when winter is over with.

  • Phenomenal ................

  • Lovely!

    Respects from Turkey.

  • OMG.....Beautiful!

  • very great! greetings from italy! ;-)

  • "a little bit of pink, just to make it interesting" xD yeah youre really an artist =)

    love the picture

i had to paint in school, also with oil, i didnt managed it =/ we had to paint a still life - so difficult!

  • OMG

  • What about list of colors for each "object" in the painting, specific color (titanium white, prussian blue, color mix also - pthalo blue+titanium white to make water 4 example) I'd like darker clouds. The big blades of "grass" to me would be best as not so thick, look abit like trees / limbs. Is a beautiful painting Atomic, Ty for doing this! Very helpful for ideas & techniques, interested to see more. I hope you & the Mrs are fairing well. I'm under the weather but will be ok. .^_^.

  • Thanks.

I have considered doing that but really there is no standard. I have found that some colors from the tube are named the same regardless of manufacturer, but many are not as well.

The foreground is larger in the painting, because I actually did it based on one corner of the image, which blew them up larger. It is not as dark now with it being dry. I don't really care for the scene personally, I am counting on some nice ones from ScenicVideos in the spring, summer, and fall.

  • amazing! very nice job. im subscribing =)

  • omg amazing

  • hi well i just finished watching the video and i have to hand it to you it was alot of fun just watching it so good job

  • great painting great job thanks

  • Definitely subscribing. your painting is beautiful! i'd love your work, I hope to see more of your paintings.

  • Thanks you very much! I plan on doing one every couple weeks or so. I may not during the winter because I get bored with the same colors over and over

  • I plan on seeing every single one. Sorry for bothering, but, Is it hard to oil paint? Did you need any practice? (Sorry, im just curious)

  • It's no bother at all. I find it harder and harder to get to all the comments, but I try to answer the questions first.

Oil painting can be very difficult if you let it. The painting I am showing in this channel are one session. I will probably go back to them and add more detail, but for the sake of the videos... I will keep them like this. Fast, and easy to follow so that someone just starting out can feel confident to try.

  • This is great! Subscribed! :)

  • Very nice demonstration and lovely seascape! ;)) I'm relieved there are no inexplicable gargantuan pine trees jutting out of seemingly nothing in your little world. (heh heh)

  • Ah I see. Have you ever seen the painting I did on AtomicUs5000 channel about a year ago? I did it with my mouth and dedicated it to those who cannot do this with their hands very well.

  • Sure ya could!

  • Great video enjoyed watching very much, I will have to post ones of my new coast sunsets, I will let you know when they are up. Great painting, thanks so much for sharing!

  • you do great work wow? Do you do paintings for people like animals? Interested . KC let me know

  • Thank you very much! I will be starting a new channel dedicated to pets and animals. It will be different than this channel since animals I will not do in one session like scenery.

  • I saw that you guys got featured for ScenicVideos. Congratulations on that, and on your newest channel. I think the concepts are great, but I admit I might fast forward to see how it ends. Anyway, it's really cool.

  • Awesome. What an enjoyable compliment to go with ScenicVideos.

  • Brill, Bill! You have been a busy fellow!

BTW, if you type in your user name here on YT, your channel doesn't come up. I just tried it 3 times.

Thanks for letting me know about your new channel. YAY!

  • lol, yep... busy, busy!

Thanks for checking this one out.

You may be typing in atmosphere5000, when it's atomsphere5000 (ATOM instead of ATMO)

I do these things just to make it difficult, lol. No, really, just trying to keep it related to my main channel in some way.

  • BILL !! OMG..this is amazing !!

    Very beautiful :) xoxo

  • Wow, your talent is to be admired =D That is a truly spectacular painting....

  • Wonderful Bill!

Loved watching the process. Reminds me so much of the PBS painting instruction shows I used to watch as a kid, William Alexander and Bill Ross.

  • bob ross :p

  • Oops, that's right. Good for you Jay. Bob Ross was on TV in the 80's.

Sadly both William Alexander and Bob Ross are dead now.

Alexander was a German I think, had a heavy accent and would hold his brush and call it "the almighty brush" Ha ha!

    Great memories.

    A God´s gift.

    Onkel Pete

  • That was really great!

Reminds me of the Bob Ross series a few years ago that I used to really enjoy.

Thanks for doing this joint venture with Scenic film.

    Really top notch!

The only way this would be better is if you had a comedy routine going along with it while you painted.

    That would be neat!

Maby try playinf The Scenic films video or sounds in the background as you paint the image. That would really set some ambiance to the videos!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US ALL.

  • Amazing

    absolutly brilliant

Thanks senicvideos for the heads up

  • First rate video!. Thanks. Greetings from Miami.

  • Wow. I am just in awe of your abilities, you are truly talented, and you just get better and better! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful painting, it was a pleasure to watch you create such wonderful artwork. :)

  • awesome video Bill!

was almost Bob Ross'ish at times :).

  • i subed you hope you do the same.5 stars

  • wow that was amazing. when u created the sky and ocean i was like "oh thats beautiful!" when you made the grass in the snow i was like "hmm...okay still nice." then you made the big reeds of grass taking up the whole canvas i shuttered. a few of the big pieces would have been fine but over the whole canvas? you made a fine art piece into a thinking piece. i love idea of looking through the grass but would have gotten the same idea if the grass was smaller and less of it. still bravo!!

  • whoa, I am so thankful 2 Scenic 4 sendin me this 1...i have 2 sub u..hehe..tryin 2 create 1 for my man...if it doesn't turn out lookin like bozo da clown i will be doin good..hehe..thanx for sharin ur talent w the utubers...

  • Excellent and interesting video! that was so cool!

  • Wonderful!

  • Brrrrr!! It sure is nice to watch this in my nice warm room!! LoL Great Job!!*****Duke

  • Such a beautiful drawing! Thanks for sharing! ;)

  • The ocean and sky looks AMAZING! The grass is good too, but i think it would have looked a little better with less of it, it takes away the beauty of the beach itself. But amazing none the less!

  • I have a feeling I will love this video...

  • Fantastic job as always William!!!! Keep up the nice artwork! Pops

  • Awesome painting my talented friend ! Endless stars ! A.D. :))

    Hilde

  • Wow!!! That's an amazing job=D

You're really talented, I wish I could draw nicely like you:(

  • Turned out nice Bill , I ff hope you dont mind . :o)tm *****

  • Thanks, Dave!

  • You did a great job! I think you messed it up when ya put the long strokes of grass on the painting but besides that its amazing!

  • Thanks, I agree. I can't wait for the other seasons on ScenicVideos so I can add some color and not rely on high contrast compositions.

  • Lol. Can't blame ya. Then you can really add colors to it.

  • Thank you text-box-breaker!

  • this is so awesome. I used to draw in art class but I could never catch on to painting. I think it is amazing to watch someone create.

  • A lot of people have that problem. I tried to show here that it doesn't take much, just one session to complete something. I will probably go back to this and add fine details, though it really isn't necessary.

  • your amazing your a great influnce to me , im a artist as well

  • Thanks! That's great to hear.... anytime I help influence someone to pick up a brush or pencil it's a good feeling.

  • I hear this voice. "Every tree needs a little friend."

    Strange huh?

  • lol! My tress are evil trees, not happy trees. So, I decided that I would wait to show any of those. We're just not ready for that.

  • 5/5 faved!

  • Cool! Thanks!

  • Excellent and interesting video and good attentions !
